This is / was also an issue with AC Valhalla I believe too. Caused a stutter / frame drop rather than sound stutter. There was a community mod by a well known modder named Kalaiden that fixed it for that game, not sure if there's a similar one out there for this one.

I have this bug too, but for me, it only happens if I use a controller. I tried playing with keyboard and mouse and the audio cutoff just doesn't happen.

Hello! I'm so sorry for any trouble that this issue has been causing. As some have reported, using a keyboard and mouse may resolve the issue for you, as a workaround in the meantime. The Game team is still looking into this issue, and thank you all for your continued patience!

Another "Same issue" post here, just making sure ubi knows a ton of people are experiencing this.

Bought the game, installed, played for NOT EVEN 5 MINUTES and the game already lets me play without watching a cutscene, all sound cutting off randomly and freezing for a good 1 minute before continuing without sound.

Very good first impression... I just hope the rest of the game is playable

    Fix that worked for me

I was having the same issue when using a controller. Turned out there was a driver update for my GPU. Issue went away after updating the driver. I recommend checking with AMD Radeon or Nvidia Geforce for driver updates (or directly on their support sites), installing the update then giving it another go.

Hope this resolves the issue for some of you.

I can tell your Game team exactly how to solve this issue because it exists inside the AnvilNext 2.0 engine. In AC:Valhalla the -exact- same bug exists and it has to do w/ the game switching inputs sources. Yes, switching to KBM 'fixes' it but that isn't really a fix is it? There is a toggle that exists in AC:Valhalla for Controller Input that allows you to select only KBM or only Gamepad. By default it is a hybrid that takes either. In AC:Valhalla when you set it to gamepad, poof, the bug vanishes and sound / menus work fine. The conflicting input between controller & KBM is what cause the pause and sound drop.

Simply have the Game team enable the input switch feature in the engine that exists in Valhalla and the problem goes away. Hope that helps, its annoying to see the exact same bug again but since its the same engine I'm not surprised.

Actually, not to reply to my own post but I see this option DOES exist. It may help here if you switch to Xbox Controller only instead of the hybrid option that is default. Everyone can try it out and see if that is the same issue as Valhalla.

Unfortunately, the cut off still exists, at least for me. Doesn't happen if kb/m is selected but with auto and Xbox Controller options, the audio cut off still happens.

As others have stated, this wasn't a thing in prior patches.
