I enjoy a good farm but the cost is insane at the moment. Check out this screenshot, look at the cost for a 0.1% CHD increase on my backpack and I would be a lot of these little upgrades.
Cost needs reducing significantly as it's way too high. I have no issues farming and in TD1 I optimized pretty much every gear set and gear piece to it's max level, but to do that in TD2 would take me months of hours of daily grinding at least, insane.
I've already hit 44 on the season 4 rank, almost did the manhunt for this week, did 50 levels of 10 directives in the summit, deconstructed 99% of the gear and I have about enough for a handful of optimizations at best
Also I have the world set on heroic with 5 directices, so there is a decent amount of loot dropping.

This needs looking into as it's ridiculous. The optimization station in TD1 was a bit pricey but at least farming for those mats was enjoyable and you certainly got your mats worth on multiple upgrades on the same stat, plus it got agents into the DZ exploring for that tech. Farming for these mats is just boring and incredibly overpriced.
Absolutely agree, they screwed up this one real bad, they over complicated it, it needs to go back to!the way Div 1 did it,. Div tech was all that you needed. The current version is ********, I have over 2000bhrs on this game , but I won't bother using this.. just give me new missions.
If I was you, i'd just ignore this feature. They intentionally made it this way and even said so on the state of the game. They dont want players using this feature unless in extreme cases.
As I've said in the PTS, this feature is going to upset a lot of players and they was perfectly fine with that.
Not a single player has said that the pricing is fair on any form of media (Ubi forums, reddit, twitter, NO ONE).
Let that sink in.

Come on Trick, work with us. Be realistic here. Even half would be too much. You all listened to those that moaned about making the 2nd attribute 100% match the first, why are you not listening here?
They said it was created for that last % you need to improve, and not to be your main source of upgrade

Improving those last % is as useless as it can be. 12% weapon damage to 15% can mean around 1% damage gain, depending on the build. Those that seek godrolls do that for pleasure, and not to improve builds. Builds around 90% quality are almost the same as the ones at 100%. My Union Lengendary run in 25 minutes didnt have a single player full god roll. My duo Union and Roosevelt Legendary at 30 minutes was both players with around 80%-90% quality.
Casual Players will barely use it, which is fine. The players that spend more time will use it more often.
This is how it goes in every single looter game in the world. Those that don't have much time will always be in a worse position than other players.
I'm going to keep repeating it until people start paying attention.
Going from 12% to 15% is NOT 3%, but 20%.
I haven't fully dug into the mats, but based on a few hours of gameplay and looking at some of my pieces at the table - you're probably looking at about 10hrs of focused farming to gain a Tier [10% on the underlying roll, not the stat itself].
Is 10 hours unreasonable to take something from 90% to Perfect? Is my estimate off in your opinion? How so? What would be a fair amount of game time in exchange for what % increase?
The Stat is superficial - what the Optimization [and Loot] actually cares about is the Roll% [from 0 to 100]. Gaining 1% on CHC is really 16.67% [1/6], while 1% CD is 8.33% [1/12], while AR DTH is only 4.76% [1/21].
