Obviously all of these could never be implemented due to balance issues but hopefully any of them can provide ideas to introduce new Heroes that have a historical basis and would provide the series with new mechanics and more importantly, new weapons, move sets and tactics that are not currently seen in game.
Ubisoft seems to be going for more story driven Heroes at the moment and it is not even clear if there will even be any or many new heroes added to For Honor. However, hopefully For Honor 2 is in pre-production or at least being discussed by the developers. I like the idea of various elite warriors from different regions and time periods that have somehow been forced into war due to a cataclysmic event bring them to each others' reach. If For Honor 2 does come, I would be okay with them having a fresh start with completely new regions and warrior types rather than the Knights, Samurai, Vikings and Wu-Lin we currently have.
In any case this is mostly for fun and discussion but doesn't hurt to hope some of the ideas will be used.
Musketeer
The French Musketeer was an elite and versatile fighter. Would excel as a duelist using a rapier which would be awesome to see in this game. The use of the flintlock musket or pistol and grenades could be used as feats.
Teutonic Knight
A armor clad knight using a war hammer or war pick. Could be considered too close to just another knight but mostly included to see the war hammer used in game.
Dog Soldier
I love the idea of adding Native American and other tribal warriors into the game. The Cheyenne Dog Soldiers were some of the fiercest fighters against the US Army and were highly aggressive. They are said to have carried 3 sacred arrows into battle and that could be incorporated into a feat.
Jaguar Warrior
These elite Aztec warriors would not only look amazing but would definitely add something fresh to the game. They used a club studded with obsidian called a macuahuitl as their primary weapon and they went into battle believing they were empowered through the spirit of the jaguar. It was considered clumsy to quickly kill an opponent and preferred to capture and sacrifice them. That idea could be incorporated into feats or execution system.
Maori Warrior
These New Zealand islander warriors are highly feared and fearless. The use various sized clubs as primary weapons designed to crack skulls and break bones.
Immortal
Most have heard of these elite warriors of the Persian empire or have seen them depicted in documentaries and movies. They were considered the Imperial guard of the ruling King of Kings and were highly versatile, disciplined and experienced warriors trained to kill from the age of 5. There was always 10,000 standing Immortals. They got their name because if one was wounded or killed their body would always be cleared from the battlefield and the soldier replaced as to appear they could not be killed.
Varangian Guard
These warriors served as personal bodyguards to Byzantine Emperors although they were comprised of elite Norse and Rus fighters. They often played a decisive role is battles as well being deployed in critical moments. This version would fight with a shield and battle axe.

Zulu Impi
These warriors were famously used by Shaka the renowned head of the African Zulu tribe. The Impi was a highly mobile and tactical fighter armed with an iklwa stabbing spear that would often be used as a missile just before meeting an opponent in melee and also a war club called iwisa.
Falcata Warrior
These elite Iberian fighters used a weapon called Falcata that could deliver the blow of an axe but also have the long cutting edge of a sword. This weapon surprised Romans in battle at its effectiveness and quality and it also became a favorite weapon of the great Hannibal of Carthage during the Second Punic Wars.
Dacian Falx Warrior
During Trajan of Rome's campaign into Dacia the Roman troops were devastated by warriors using the Falx. This sickle shaped weapon could easily slice through Roman armor and leave large gaping wounds. The only known recorded instance of Romans altering their armor during a campaign was due to the brutality of this weapon. The weapon could be a 1 handed or 2 handed version and specialized in splitting shields or dealing with shield-bearers in general.
Hopefully whoever sees this thinks these would be some entertaining weapons and warriors to see in game. Feel through to post your comments and thanks for checking the post out.
Yeah I know a few of the ideas I put in here would be unknown to anyone except a war history nerd like me and are obscure to even a history major but the reason I added them mainly is to showcase different types of weapons that could be added as most historical soldiers used spears and short swords.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
