For me, it was beyond some of the more glaring issues with the mechanics that they got a lot of backlash on. There were a lot of things that bugged me in the game from the vehicles (which felt like a step back from WL) to the camera position / zooming behind your character. Even some of the movements / animations felt off.Originally Posted by SaviorBasedGod Go to original post
There were some improvements made but also some "WTF" moments like the particle effects added to aircraft. It's stuff like that that really makes me wonder if Ubi has a grasp on what is wrong with this game or what fans want from it.
Anyhow, that just scratches the surface but all this has been discussed ad nauseum as you know. Unfortunately, I can only look forward at this point to what he future holds for the next iteration in the series. ......assuming there is a future.
......and yes, I agree with you and think it quite obvious many in the GR community have moved on. Having participated in the WL forums, TD2 and FC, this forum is hardly what I would consider active these days. All the fans they didn't lose with the reveal and launch have been slowly exiting or just stopped posting for the most part. ....then again, what can we all say that hasn't been repeated a million times before?
Unfortunately, i think that they can´t “repair” this game anymore. It’s the same as with an old house. It´s easier to just build a new one than to repair the old one. A fresh start in a new ghost recon game is the only option in my opinion. Just too much negativity stuck on Breakpoint.
