Hi,
So i got the game for like a 1 year and i wanted to download that once again and whenever i press the download button on uplay its sending me to steam to buy the game and i can tell you right now that i played the game a lot so its wasn't the free trial or free weekend or something like that.

This means that you are logged into the incorrect Steam account. You need to launch the game through Steam if you got it from there - if Ubisoft Connect is sending you to the Steam store page, then you're not logged in to the correct Steam account.
