after a long time away from the game i decided to come back, and its absolutely unplayable.
In the main menu my character often T-poses, which is whatever. Then when i try to load into the game it takes about 10 minutes to actually load.
When i finally load in, my frames hover around 20/30 untill i start walking. It just completely freezes for a few seconds before teleporting me forward, that process keeps repeating itself. GPU and CPU usage both hover around 10%. Tried all graphic presets and even custom ones, none of them make any improvements. Same goes for DX11/DX12.
Specs:
MSI RTX 2070
Intel I7 9700k
32GB DDR4 3200mhz
Samsung 970 evo plus m.2 drive.
are there any fixes for this problem or is anyone else experiencing something like this?
Hey there, thanks for getting in touch!
I'm sorry that this is happening - there's definitely something wrong here as your PC should be able to run this a lot more smoothly. Please verify your game files:
1. In Uplay, click on Games tab at the top of the window
2. On the next screen, hover over the game tile. This will make a little arrow appear at the bottom right of the tile
3. Click on this arrow to make a drop-down menu appear, then click on Verify files
After this, disable your background applications:
1. Close all open programs and reboot your PC.
2. Press the Windows and R keys simultaneously.
3. Type msconfig into the box and press Enter.
4. Choose Selective startup.
5. Uncheck Load startup items.
6. Reboot your system.
Please test the game after this, and let me know if the issue persists.
Hey!
I already tried verifying and reinstalling completely, neither works. The only things i have running in the background are steam and discord, which i used to have open when i was able to play as well. I'll check with those closed down sometime tomorrow but i doubt it'll make much difference. Thanks for the suggestion and i'll update this thread after i tried them!
1. Download the latest Nvidia drivers, don't install yet, just have them ready
2. Download DDU (this is the latest version, click OFFICIAL DOWNLOAD HERE): https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/v...php?f=5&t=3300
3. Unpack DDU to a folder, run, go to settings, and check "do not automatically install drivers"
4. Run the cleanup, your PC will restart after that
5. Install the new drivers, but just drivers, do not install Geforce experience
6. Reboot and try again
