So I finished Silent Spade weeks ago and got my bonus pay cheque and went my merry way to completing about another 20 missions (incl. side missions) only to start hearing Kozack in my headset spouting his favourite saying "Oh crap I cut the red wire Again but allowing me to continue the present mission for another 10 minutes, then he repeats himself twice before another 10, and so on. NOW the BSOD (Black screen in this case) is accompanied by the skull after a Kozack snafu , I'm then whisked away back to within screaming distance of Kovack. where he expects me to ward off the nutters. I tried a few times but the nostalgic stress that followed had me turn the PC off. I not doing this mission twice in one lifetime, so Is this game domed at this stage and I forfeit level 49 and start again after rehab or just burn the game as my therapist will probably instruct me to do. (if I go down that lane)
Things to note:My PC is not connected to internet so I play only solo missions and after turing off and on the PC it continues with a problem.
Game was installed a month ago onto new PC so all the latest patches went on.
will try to check notifications asap. (cafe is in town lol)
This reads as if you're indeed stuck with an incomplete SNAFU mission end. I believe your only options are to either - finish it however upsetting that may be; or delete your save slot and start a new character.
Thanks for confirming my worst nightmare lol. I have tried doing missions far away successfully (with weak optimism) but latest missions go south and now I re-spawn just out side the town. I've since started a fresh game just to avoid Kozaks miserable voice but I'm losing 40 levels. Thanks for your help Mike.
It's a real shame that the studio couldn't release the add-content without it being so messed up.
Hey there guys!
SteamMuppet - I'm sorry to hear that you've had this experience, and that it has caused you to start a new game.
MikeWeeks makes a good suggestion in trying to finish the mission again, to see if this helps to resolve the issue, but I can understand if this isn't preferable for you. I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused, and wish you luck with this new gaming endeavor!
