It's because of Denuvo. From the launcher_log.txt file for Uplay:

[ 7612] 2020-12-03 00:13:27 [ 460] ERROR DenuvoGetGameToken.cpp (235) Get activation token server error: Failure.

I tried to start it (06:05 am), but it won't let me. I have no clue when actual start time is, but I thought it was December 3rd (as in 00.00am). I'm from Sweden btw.

The game should definitely be unlocking as of 15 minutes ago for Ubisoft Connect subs. The official announcement said Dec 2 9pm PDT / Dec 3 5am UTC.

I have the same issue too. This is not acceptable. What was the point of joining their subscription if they will treat us worse than everyone else.
