For those who didn't watch today's SOTG, the bad news is that the limited time event ("Codename Nightmare") is no longer happening, and has been "repurposed" to be an apparel event
The good news for console owners is that 60FPS is coming to next-gen consoles in February. Assuming you can find one![]()
Yeah, I would prefer some new playable content too, but I understand if whatever they planned didn't work out. There's no point in reusing Kenly College if it's still going to suck.Originally Posted by ara_0 Go to original post
But hey, at least console owners will be able to see a game they don't want to play anymore run @ 60 FPS
Yannick said it's not happening, and that they put the development resources into other things (the additional apparel event being one).Originally Posted by nuxbag Go to original post
With interference from Covid and (presumably) Ubisoft Corporate, Tom Clancy's The Division 2 was facing an uphill battle. Its clear from SOTG that very few are working on DIV2 and so its easy to see how they probably just don't have the necessary resources to get done that which needs to get done like NIGHTMARE, whatever it was going to be. Because corporate see's $$$ signs its easier to get resources to create cosmetics like those for an Apparel event but getting resources for something the game desperately needs but can't be monetized is much harder.
Imagine everyone is anywhere from unhappy t pissed off about this but just remember that "the devs" as the term is often used aren't the decision makers. They are stuck doing what they can with whats been approved so if anyone is to blame for the mess its going to be someone higher up in an office sitting behind many layers of employees so that they never have to deal with the angry customer face to face.
