Seems unlikely, given they just announced they're cancelling the Nightmare event they had previously planned, and re-purposed it into clothes. It one thing to delay something. It's another to just throw in the towel... the towel being your consolation prize. If they can't muster the effort for something they had already supposedly planned, I doubt they have any steam left to come up with brand new stuff.Originally Posted by Sw33tChinMu51c Go to original post
Apparently the Nightmare event was just a timed apparel focused theme event. Hence why they had clothes made up for it. It wasn't a new game mode like some of us had hoped.Originally Posted by Solkard Go to original post
If next year follows this year's cadence, well get DLC in the spring, and a reimagining of a D1 game mode in the Fall.
Ubi, in their financial review, stated two unannounced titles are scheduled for 2022.
I've heard it described as "Ubisoft's version of Breath of the Wild"Originally Posted by Riflemania Go to original post
Rofl! Did they really just cancel it? Hahah! Oh man that's so bad. What a fiasco..... /facepalmOriginally Posted by Solkard Go to original post
They scrapped the idea is my understanding.Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
And you know they didn't make that decision yesterday. They need to be more open about stuff like this.
Sitting idly by and letting your customers promote something you promised, is the same thing as promoting it yourself. Especially when you are letting them promote it on your official forums.
I have Battlefield 1, Star Wars Battlefront, Doom 2016 (I have the original Doom 1 and 2 too, but on 3.5" floppy disks!), Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2 among others if you're ever looking to retro game with a friend.Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post![]()
I don't think I agree that devs are directly responsible for hype that players make. But I DO definitely agree that more transparency and clearly defined communication can avoid a lot of misunderstanding....like with Nightmare.Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post
I think the hype surrounding nightmare shows that players still have a lot of hope and interest in the game. All ubi/massive needs to do is deliver some quality content to spark that interest into a fire.
Or they can let it die due to neglect.
I'm definitely guilty of projecting what I wanted onto the vaguely described Nightmare [Survival 2.0].Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
Kenley just seems ripe for restructuring into something fun. It's well designed, but the puzzles are too annoying after the first one or two runs. It's a shame that Kenley & the Classified's sit idle collecting dust![]()
