There are two things that keep me playing:
Trying new builds.
Trying new content.
IMO events don't really count as new content, especially when they're recycled like they have been. I do like speedruns, but when the in-game leaderboards are obviously bugged to display wrong(sub 2 minute runs???) it steals a lot of the fun out of striving for faster times.
I do want to see what the summit challenges and Nightmare are. And try the new sets. I'll leave the entire manhunt until I can slam it out in a aingle sitting. And only do the new event this season while skipping the ones I already completed before.
After that? Not sure. Depends on if there's a year 3 expansion or something.
This is my first time back in here for 3 weeks, iv'e already uninstalled the game because i saw no future in repeating the same old same old day after day/week after week (so there was no point in me being in this forum).looking at season 4 nothing new or exciting after season 4 who knows. Will whatever it is get me to install all 110 gigs again i doubt it.
Personally i love the game/Franchise but enough was enough. So i decided to install some old games i haven't played in a while and one i wanted.
Currently playing.
Elite Dangerous
Fallout 76 (yes it's actually quite good now) 1 year and six months since i played it.
Day Z
Not going to rant about the game or devs of this game not my style, i'll just take my leave from here and the game. even though i like some of the people in here. (no point in me being here if i'm not playing the game anymore)
Peace out:
PS: hope you all enjoy whatever this game brings to you over the next few months .
I am with ya there: with 5TB of SSD storage I probably let unplayed games sit much longer than I should. Once upon a time a new Windows release was reason to build a new rig and a fresh OS install, but with Win10 remaining "evergreen" too much stuff has sat too long.Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post
I did hit the Season 100 track about a month ago. When I peaked like this in Div 1 I went into the DZ to mix things up, but from what I am seeing cheating is just as rampant here as it was in the Div 1 DZ. (and that HUGE DZ was way better too).
I'm not sure exactly, there was a glitch back in the day where you got a different backpack trophy every week on Tidal Basin heroic. You have to ask one of the people that exploited that because they got even the very rare ones. :/Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post
I just checked in on my Battlefield 3 lobby last night. I also played some Mass Effect to get a buzz going for the upcoming remaster.Originally Posted by Sock_Monkey Go to original post
As for season 4, it appears it may be over before it starts. I'll likely still do the level 100 but there's nothing new to do.
Personally, I play Division for the PvE Coop. There are much better games for PvP and story RPG.Originally Posted by Riflemania Go to original post
So I'm looking to get into this instead.
Yes I know, another SkillUp review, but it looks fun.![]()
I will play as long as it is worth my time. I like the seasons and manhunt. If those stop then it is unlikely I will continue to play. Daily and weekly projects just aren't enough of a motivator. I don't expect there will be any new content dropping, so no new maps, levels, etc. That doesn't concern me because games rarely remain in active development as long as this one has.
If I was the decision maker, I would task the team with making the classified missions replay able with difficulty scaling and rewards scaling accordingly, then I'd open that to all as a a final set of content. I'd tweak the RNG to give the year one pass buyers a little bit of an increased chance at god rolls or rare items.
I see no reason seasons and manhunts can't just continue on the same cycle, and even new items introduced. Hopefully they have factored the gear and weapons and RNG tables out of the code base so they are modifiable without going through a full development cycle with code change.
I don't really see4 any reason this game can't go on perpetually. New content isn't going to bring new players to the game. But fixing bugs and balance would keep less people from quitting the game.
