Discuss the hero here!

I Don't know how I feel about that, it's a weird one. An other Knight but he have Viking, Samurai and Wu Lin armors, bad and weird idea. The moveset like Jiang Jun is a bad idea + the spin moves. Executions looks OK. He seems balanced and the feats too. But, I Don't know, Year 1 heroes still better (when the devs were innovative) …
And the lore… since year 3, it become something like God of War but with a bad story and no sense.
I share your sentiment. These last 2 heroes feel soooo recycled. I wonder what the reason for this is? Can't be because of the virus because other studios are pushing out content big time.Originally Posted by Dunmaglass_ Go to original post
Lack of interest or non-chalance from the developers seems likely. They are not motivated at all anymore when compared to year 1.
Is money your only motivation, ubisoft? What about the passion for your work?
Very, very sad.
Headbutt = shugo
Crossbow = peacekeeper
Moves = mainly jang jung
Recycled armor.
Hmmm =/ :/ :/ =(
Of course - another recycled, zero effort hero. Nothing remotely interesting, unique or exciting about him. Fanboys of the game already finding every excuse possible to defend this crap, so at least that's amusing to read.
Oh, well. No skin off my teeth, I barely play this anymore, but the people who stuck with the game after that patch and wanted something new and cool are probably disappointed.
I'm fine with him. Feels petty to complain about asset flipping when there's so many other things in the game that deserve attention.
Hell even with the new hero himself. Like the armor. Both WM and Gryphon have armor people have wanted available for other factions/characters for years now.
I don't mind getting story relevant heros as playable heros and the devs taking a direct approach to give story to us in MP. At the same time I would hope we could eventually go back to more "faceless" heros at some point. Overall I expected the next hero would basically be like WM due to what we guess is the development cycle for heros and that any backlash of this approach likely wouldn't be felt till next year (providing the game is still going to get new heros next year.)
I was pleasantly surprised with how WM ended up feeling after playing as her and against her for awhile. So I kind of expect the same thing from Gryphon. Though I won't know since I don't play anymore. And haven't for months now.
