I think that's because you've made some assumptions about me that aren't really founded in reality. Yes, I'm skeptical about random claims by people on the internet. Why shouldn't I be? This entire beef you have with me stems from me simply not instantly agreeing with you and a couple other people. That doesn't mean I disrespect you. That doesn't mean I think what you experienced didn't happen. It just means I want to see it for myself before I immediately assume it's happening.

    Why?

Because there's A LOT of ******** trolling on the internet. There's a lot of people who think they see something when something else entirely actually happened. Yes, maybe I'm arrogant for thinking I know better than some players. I'll own that. But in some cases I DO know better, because I've got thousands of hours in the game. I've looked into many of these issues. I've experienced them. I've overcome them.

So yeah, maybe you don't like that. But I will NEVER sh*t on someone until they prove that they're talking nonsense, and sh*t on me first. When I ask questions, it's not to belittle people. It's to find out what's really going on! And sometimes that reveals that people were wrong. A lot of times, if I'm being brutally honest.

So when I start asking questions, and people can't answer, or evade? Do you know how that looks?

I WANT to see what you're complaining about. But if you can't show me, and throw shade at me in the process? Can you see it from my perspective why that would be sus?

This is a reasonable reply and I respect that but have you ever thought to use your thousands of hours of experience to explain and help and stop the "prove it" nonsense?

You have used the "post a video" or "post a pic" in almost every thread you have ever posted in and never offer your experience. You go straight to demanding proof of their experience. You never ask for video to help explain. You want it as proof of what they say. If you know what's being said is not accurate, keep that to yourself and offer to help with the problem. Calling a person a liar FIRST is not how productive conversations start.

Not sure why this discussion is still ongoing when the mods asked that it stayed on-topic, but I'll remind people that explaining how something works is not the same as agreeing that it works well. The failure to understand that difference is why the thread got derailed in the first place.

Anyhow, as my final contribution to this thread, here's an illustration of why small samples (like the five in the OP) are meaningless:

    https://www.basic-mathematics.com/co...obability.html

Small samples are going to exhibit sampling bias. It's partly why clinical trials for new drugs involve thousands of patients, not five. It's why I went for a larger sample when making a case against the frequency of rainbow loot back in TU10.

I doubt this will change the mind of anyone who hates RNG systems, but perhaps it will provide some understanding for everyone else.

    Sigh.....

You want to know why I go straight to video proof? Because it's the most accurate, objective place to start.

Someone describing something is often full of personal feelings or opinion or faulty memory. It's often skewed by what they THINK happened instead of what DID happen. I can look for myself, then give an opinion or advice that is an order of magnitude greater.

What do you want me to do when someone posts "This thing is broken." or "I got screwed by RNG!"

How the f**k does anyone help with something so vague? And anyway, Ive said in many replies: Use the recalibration station(even purples get god rolls on a single attribute). Use youtube to find a build. I've posted my own "starter" builds when people ask for advice instead of just complaining then never posting again.

Even with Yoda I've literally said I would change my mind if he showed me proof. I offered to buy a new account and test the loot personally if that's what it takes. But EVERY time there's a stonewall. No opportunity to help him. No further info.

Do you think I'm going to spend my own time and money to test things, just to ignore what I find in some sort of convoluted expensive trolling? Why wouldn't I just put yoda on ignore and save the hassle?

What else should I do? You tell me.

I have noticed that loot drops have become worse stat wise in TU11.1. The best I've ever gotten from a single cache was pre TU 11.1 where I got both Belstone Armory named pieces that were both god rolled. That was a shocker to say the least.

The drop quality on Season Caches is higher than Proficiency Caches [I believe].

At least, my Season Caches seem to drop at Challenging/Heroic quality, and Proficiency Caches are closer to Hard/Challenging.

Small sample size explains your experience just as well as a "stealth nerf".

Out of curiosity, have you ever gotten a purple from a level 40 proficiency cache from leveling up?

The field prof caches are scaled to legendary difficulty.
That said, I have noticed that seasonal caches tend to be a little better but I don't actually know how the seasonal caches scale.

I agree with what you're saying but the field prof caches are actually scaled to legendary difficulty. I've heard that from a few different players in the know. Most notably, nothingbutskills in a video directly sponsored by Ubisoft. It makes sense too.

I thought that was only clan caches and DZ airdrops?

Because if what I've been getting out of prof caches is legendary, I'm glad I don't spend much time of legendary missions.
