I get your 10 hour vs 100 hour argument. I really do. I'm at 300 hours and have never got a jackpot drop. Never. Not one. I only get improvements from caches and locked boxes.
That's not actually true about the slot machines. I worked in a casino for 5 years. Casinos are given a certain leeway to set the percentage chance of payouts within a certain range which is regulated by law. Different machines have different payouts, depending on the style. That's why you see so many different types of machines, and why casinos constantly update and change how they work, both in order to confuse the player, and to get the most out of what the law allows.

The other thing you said was interesting as well. There's a couple of things I wonder about: Do you think you need a "jackpot drop"? Or is it just that you really want it to keep the game interesting for you? You said you have 300 hours, but how much of that has been spent in heroic or legendary?

I'm not asking to crap on you. I know you don't like my point of view on the game. But I also have very rarely gotten a "perfect" god roll(100% in everything). That doesn't stop me from enjoying the game, or clearly heroic/legendary. If your entire enjoyment of the game is banked on getting perfect drops, then that's a pretty high bar that sets you up for disappointment.

I've argued for a LONG time that directives should increase loot quality instead of giving more experience. It's a risk vs reward idea. And the more directives you have on at once should multiply the chance, since each one increases the difficulty more than they would individually. Playing with ALL directives on is a real challenge.

Yes. It's a looter shooter. The loot is meant to propel you to the next level. There shouldn't be junk at the finish line.
Sadly this is a common misconception

Grind, builds, loot are all designed to keep you playing a game with lack luster underpinnings
They do not enhance any aspect of game
    Typical chase the carrot
As long as folk keep asking for more garbage they will happily serve it

Since they haven't, I have to assume hyperbole [or poor reading comprehension or the shakespeare variation]. Ball is in Yoda's court at this point, from my perspective - SirCowDog seems much more sincere [maybe that's my forum noobness showing]..

Anywho, I'm hoping we can turn this into an exploration of how RNG actually works in this game. Who knows, maybe it's like FF back in the day, and if we understand the RNG, we can exploit it
So proof would they accept? Taking into account that neither has ever accepted proof provided before. If you don't like my input, then block me. I see no reason in providing proof for those who have no real intention of paying attention to it anyway.

I don't like your point of view on the players. I couldn't possibly care any less about your point of view on the game.

A link to a prior thread with someone saying the Loot system is perfect. Can't imagine they'd deny such proof. And if they did, you'd have shown you were right and they are what you claim.

How about the old saying, "People don't want to hear your opinion, they want to hear their opinion coming out of your mouth." I see no reason to go to the trouble of providing proof that they have already decided they wouldn't accept. If either has ever given me a reason to think they was sincere, it would be one thing.

I bet they would, but have it your way.

No they wouldn't because there is a little hyperbole involved.
They never said "perfect". They said it works as intended and they're happy with it.

They know what they said and could have stated that distinction a long time ago. They only want a gotcha moment. "SEE? I NEVER SAID PEFECT". They use word games to make themselves feel superior. It's too childish to participate in. Yoda owes them nothing.

I guess. Yoda made the claim, then ran away when called on it. Not terribly important or germaine to your topic though. I'll let it be.

I mean, I've said it's working as the devs intended and I've accepted it. But we also know I'm an odd duck that judges the loot objectively instead of subjectively and care far less than most posters about Loot.
