Loot quality. Maybe it's just me. Is this bad or not? I'm asking.

Maybe I just don't understand the game. So, I'm asking...

What would you guys do with this stuff? This is 100% typical of my experience in the game. This is what drops.

To me, this looks like garbage. What do you think? To me, it makes the game pointless. There are parts I enjoy doing but the loot is pointless. It might as well not drop.

Sell it as junk, dismantle it for parts or don't pick it up
    That's what i do.

The loot is doing what it's supposed to do. More chance one first attribute to be same as core. However the the quality of these attributes is plain bad.

But - and don't take this the wrong way - as with all these kind of posts you only show the bad stuff. Pretty sure you picked up decent stuff as well as great loot you can actually use?

I don't take it the wrong way. I get it.

I haven't used anything but library filler in 300 hours. Almost every piece I use is from a vendor. The ones that didn't are from caches.
I get nothing from NPC drops. I've stashed some stuff that I hope will be useful in future updates. That's about it.

Well, look at this piece of ultimate crap dropped by hunters in Skyscrapper on Legendary difficulty:

This is the only activity I'm doing right now in this game alongside some Season's activities (Manhunt - already done, League - almost done).
And the loot is all crap, every evening I'm doing this for at least 20 runs and every piece of gear and weapon is trash. From over 100 pieces looted I barely keep 2 or 3 with 2 max stats, or near max stats, not always matched with the brand/core attribute but maybe will be useful sometime.
”Good part” is now I have 7 or 8 Bighorns, the most useless weapon in the entire game

And sometimes the price for that crap is ”fabulous” - can you translate that numbers to more human comprehension?

That was an one shot with his axe that destroyed in a split second 11.6M HP shield, 1.4M armor and ~350k health, all on a 80% PfE build.

On rare occasions i get an upgrade for an existing piece or something i stash for future updates.

But then again the only upgrades i need are so small in % that it most likely will never drop or a combo that i need (like all red + unbreakable providence ) that's just not in my RNG pool.

But mostly it's just crap, like your drops.
FYI, only heroic or legendary content

Loot quality has taken a deep dive when DLC was release for players that got it. Then at a later stage this was also implemented for level 30 (GS515) players. Overall I think the items that drop are pure trash 99.9% of the time. But maybe for players that haven't spent a lot of hours in the game there is still some sense of progression. For me this doesn't apply anymore and only play to spent some time, not chasing loot anymore because like said by Vanhus81, the times you find something useful is so scarce it has become ridiculous. I had a stash full with 300 GS515 items, nowadays you simply can't find any of those.

But sometimes you do find an item that is near or having maximum attributes, it mostly happens when you don't expect them to drop. Like the picture in the link below, open world box on hard. Don't like to play on higher levels when just running around in the city. Loot drops from activities are not worth the extra time you need to invest fighting of all the NPCs that spawn in after engaging.

Loot quality has been raised time and again so in TU12 they are supposedly revising loot quality which should scale with world difficulty.

Those are the kind of drops I see on a regular basis. Yet the haters in these forums brag about how perfect RNG is, mostly because because they keep seeing god-rolled items they need or want on a regular basis. Massive needs to find that balance where we all get god-rolled from time to time and we get to feel rewarded for playing the game.

Every time a Sacrifice chest piece has dropped for me it has always been poorly rolled and will always be rainbow rolled.

I have come to the conclusion that it's always going to be like that so when one does drop i am never let down as it's just the norm.

Forgot to say in all the years of playing loot based games TD2 comes out on top for being the worst loot system.

Great game, just poorly made when it comes to the loot system.
