Firstly a little backstory. I have absolutely loved this game. When I saw that first trailer come out buy was i excited. Ive played the alpha and the beta, I have defended this game for so long and to be honest you all have done a good job updating this and keeping it fresh with new heros you've fixed things so much and you even put in a new game mode. This game will probably always be my favorite, but only from the memorys I have, Right after Jorm came out i left my country for a bit to travel. I kept up to date with everything and was excited to see and play the game after the CCU update when i got back. Man was i wrong this game has gone sooooooo far down hill its amazing that there is still a dedicated fan base. I have a pc but I play on console mainly because I have all my stuff on there. But the game is so unplayable its crazy. Every light attack isn't reactable at all. It's absolutely ridiculous. So I bought the game for pc and dedicated my month is quarantine to re learn the game. I was telling myself that ill just have to learn all the new timings. Boy was that a waste of my month. Im still don't know **** and everyone is spamming lights 200× more then when they've used to. There's no defense meta anymore. Which is good but now there's also no defense. Now its just find the Hero who you can spam the best with. That doesn't run out of stamina after 3 cancels. I'd rather have watched the snow fall outside other every day then play this. Ubi you made a experience of a lifetime but you have destroyed it, I would say its just a bad as when the game was first released.

Bro, I hate every moment in the game and still play it.🤣😅😭
I main warden and every match, there are just spammers everywhere, not to mention idiotic teammates.

But still this game has players which can block all your lights and even parry them multiple times in a row.

I can block everything and crushing counter everything if they r not unlockables, but parrying lights all the time, for me is not possible.
Kudos to those who can do it consistently because it is a great skill.

Most annoying about is that if one guy decides to lightspam it removes virtually 90% of the game for both sides. It just becomes a turn-based "Who blocks more?" kind of thing. You can forget about all mixups that don't have HA because they will be immediatly interrupted. So no mindgames, mixups, and reads are limited to direction only. Also applies to a few other types of spam except for certain heroes who deal better with that.

I would say its a fine line but its not. You can either have a basic combo set up and make it so anyone can learn to play using all the characters or you can make combos so difficult your best bet is to just stick with one guy. To me, if they made this any harder it would become too much of an annoyance. Would feel like Killer Instinct from snes or Marvel vs Capcom for which ever console. Just button smashing until you get that ULRTA ULTRA ULTRA combo. MK boarders it and its extremly rough. They got combos 8 to 9 buttons long (and not just one per charactor either) plus they got about 25 characters. Ive literally played nothing but Sub Zero or Scorpion since Sega because of it. Spend more time training in practice than actually playing.
