Like the title says, I'm not really happy with my loading times.
No matter what I do, 'fast' traveling takes 30 seconds, loading the game from the main menu (when you press 'continue') is around 60-90 seconds.
I have no idea how to fix it, especially compared to my friends, who have older hardware, but yet still faster (fast travel for them is like 3-5 seconds) and having their games on SSD's (not M.2 NVME drives).
It could be something in the software, but I have no idea what or where to search for?
Also, since 2 weeks or so (I think since Belfry update) I run into A LOT of stutter and freezes/crashes, which isn't fun either. Normally I run around 130-140 FPS Ultra settings (around 90 in open world), except when there are explosions etc., I drop like 50-60 fps. And explosions happen a lot ...
My current hardware:
- Amd Ryzen 3900x CPU
- NZXT Z63 AIO Cooler
- ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Formula Motherboard
- ASUS ROG GTX 1080 TI 11GB Graphics Card
- 2x16GB Trident Z. Neo 3600MHZ CL16 Ram
- Corsair MP600 500GB M.2 SSD (my bootdrive) (PCIE Gen.4)
- Samsung 960 EVO 1TB M.2 SSD (my gamedrive) (PCIE Gen.3)
- Corsair RM850x Powersupply
What I've done so far:
- Clean install (on both drives, no changes, also used Revo Uninstaller Pro to get rid of everything related to TD2)
- Tried low AND ultra settings (no changes)
- All drivers are up-to-date (windows, nvidia, chipset, bios etc.)
- Verified gamefiles
I really hope somebody can help me, especially with the load times, cause they are actually the most annoying thing for me.
Thanks in advance
Thank you for your reply:
This is the only one I have so far, which is the from Kenly College to DC, I will try to get a view videos later on

I'm not sure if you can 'recreate' the situation ...Originally Posted by Ubi-Ginge Go to original post
but if the team is able to do that, can they try it with NZXT's CAM software installed on the test system?
I'm 99% sure that is the problem(see the clip)

So I just did a test and did a rollback on the driver:
New Driver (of this week)
Fast Travel Capitol Building > Roosevelt Island : approx 25 sec.
Fast Travel Roosevelt Island > Capitol Building : approx 34 sec.
Former Driver (released 3rd of Dec.?)
Fast Travel Capitol Building > Roosevelt Island : approx 5 sec.
Fast Travel Roosevelt Island > Capitol Building : approx 7 sec.
Also booting the game and going from main menu into the open world was much faster
Still stuttering. For me it started after TU12, right around the time maintenance was performed. To be honest, the stutter seems to come and go. Some weeks it stutters, some weeks it doesn't. Every other game work perfectly. It's not the driver, it's the game. Fix your game Ubisoft.
