Since Ubisoft hasn't really provided any real answers in this thread, hopefully this will be helpful to some of you that didn't know.
Using photo mode within the game still works, they just don't appear on Ubisoft's photo mode website. All your photos are also saved locally, so you still have access to them. Depending on what platform you play on, they can be found under...
PC - Documents > Assassin's Creed Odyssey > photos
or
C: > Users > username > Documents > Assassin's Creed Odyssey > photos
PS4 - Settings > Storage > System Storage > Capture Gallery > Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
Xbox One - your photos should be stored on your online storage.
I have the feeling that they've left us the only forum where there is some activity from the moderators is the Immortal Fenyx Rising forum. And the rest that i know of is pretty much dead. So this one the Valhalla forum the Beyond Good and Evil forum the Far Cry forum there is a little and i mean a little activity on the WD forums and that's about it that i know of.
No help ( Valhalla ) no response nothing.

I address my comments to Management because that is where all the blame belongs, they are the ones making all the decisions as far as what is updated and when there are updates .....
It's actually part of the Connect app and it's been nothing but a problem since the day they implemented it ..... I'd say 75% of the problems with Valhalla are related to the Connect App breaking the saves (Immortals is having a broken save problem too) ..... All those "stuck on such and such quests" are caused by broken saves that aren't registering when a milestone/event has taken place ..... If the save doesn't show a milestone has been reached then the next part of the quest just isn't going to start. To make matters worse it's hard to go back a fix 2 dozen quests where this has happened and the only real solution is to start fresh once they correct the save file bug ..... That's why I quit playing Valhalla after just 6 days ..... It's too buggy to do a recorded playthrough so I'll just wait ..... I just picked up Immortals on sale last night but I'm not real big on platform type gameplay which I burnt out on about 2 and a half decades ago ..... And patches that don't work properly or made it even worse and as far as i know no apology either ... nothing.
But what do you think did they properly tested Valhalla before the game was released ?
If your answer is no then at least they knew what to expect from us the ( angry ) people.
