    Lizzo’s Juice - Just Dance 2021

Just got Just Dance 2021 the other day and I like it so far. I just have one major complaint. There are now 3 Lizzo songs in Just Dance, but for an artist who’s known for celebrating her body and using plus size dancers, none of them feature even one dancer who’s anywhere close to Lizzo’s size. In fact, as far as I know there has only been one song in all of Just Dance that features an *actual* plus size dancer: MIKA’s “Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)” all the way back in Just Dance 2. The fact that this is still the only one after all this time feels a little patronizing to be honest. I was hoping that “Juice” would feature a plus size dancer because it’s such an iconic Lizzo song, but I was very disappointed. I was especially disappointed because the visuals seem to directly be inspired by the music video. I think it would have been so much better if Ubisoft had featured a dancer front and center who looked like Lizzo in her pink and black workout getup from the video (think about how they feature Lady Gaga’s iconic outfits from her videos in some of her songs), rather than three straight size dancers. If nothing else, I hope Ubisoft takes this feedback into consideration and works on bringing more body diversity into their dancers in the future. It would also be really cool if they released a new version of “Juice” or another Lizzo hit like “Truth Hurts” and used a dancer who’s Lizzo’s size.

That's great feedback. Last year, in Just Dance 2020, Where Are you Now, trio version, the main dancer had a powerful role (in a powerful dance, imho) and didn't seem to be as skinny as most other coaches. You're right, they missed an opportunity with their choices of coaches for Juice, especially when there are two versions of the dance that are both trios, there are 6 coaches all together.

Have you danced to Lizzo's other song, Boys, in the Unlimited catalog? Although the coaches for this dance (the main version) are boys, they come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and styles.
