Far cry snowshow+granite error, co-op not avaliable

So I first played far cry for a bit, then i played quite a bit of co-op with my friend. but suddenly, one day, the game claimed I did not finish the tutorial and gave me snowshoe error. then I did the tutorial again, and got graphite error and then I apparantly had not done the tutorial. SO I did the tutorial around 5 times over and over again, and it still did not work, and i could not play with my friend. I uninstalled on steam and reinstalled, still error. please help!

Hello there M134lim! Welcome to the forums.

I'm sorry to hear you've encountered these errors. As SNOWSHOE and GRANITE can be used to label a few different errors, could you please send us an image of the error message you're receiving? There should also be a string of numbers after the error word, which will help us to identify the issue. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. My friend and I were playing the game and were maybe 5 hours in to a first-time play when the game suddenly crashed during a loading screen. I would get a Snowshoe error with the code D778115D and my friend would get a Bookworm error, unsure of the code at the moment. Game will launch fine and I can play single player, we can even party up but as soon as we try to load the game the same error messages pop up. It's unbelievably frustrating cause there's no reason to believe it has anything to do with Anti-virus or running as an admin because it was working perfectly fine until it just wasn't.

The Snowshoe error that you have received can be possibly related to two different issues.

The first issue would be that you and your friend have not progressed enough in the story to unlock multiplayer or co-op activities. You would need to finish the opening sequence and liberate Dutch's island, you will then receive a message in game to say that multiplayer activities are available.

The second issue is a corrupted save, however you would generally get this error as soon as you click continue in the main menu screen.
