    Fps drops, stutter...

I just reinstalled GR-wildslands after a year or so too continue the quests. I have been playing for some days now.
In the past same grfx settings (high) were no problems locked at 60 fps with sometimes a few drops but not like it is now.
Now every time i get microstutter and fps drops, i play at the res of 1920x1080

    things i tried:

-i verified the game files (was ok)
-vsync on or adaptive settings (doesnt matter)
-lowered grfx settings (same problems still exist)
-reinstalled the nvidia drivers, and then rolled back to older version(s) (same problem, stuttering still exists)
-looked at the background apps that maybe causing this lag. it did not matter.

i think i tried everything, im out of ideas.

    Pc-specs:

    i9-10850k 3.60ghz
    32 gb of ram
Nvidia 2070 RTX Gaming with 8GB of vram
    Windows 10

As i can play Assasins Creed Odessey at the highest settings, with some drops, but not this crazy as its in GhostRecon Wildlands so i think the problem is in the game itself.

I hope that UBISOFT will look into this, time for a new performance patch?
As more people seem to suffer from this happening ingame, after reading other forum posts.

    Same issues

I recently downloaded the game and also have stutter and fps drops. I also tried all the pieces you and forums mentioned. It doesn't seem to be you or your machine. I am guessing something is messed up with autosave which causes this even with low settings.

    Hey there,

Sorry to see you're both having performance issues.

Does this happen in both online and offline?

ManicTurk, can you please confirm your PC specs too as well as any troubleshooting steps you've attempted so far?

    Thank you!

I have been struggling with this issue for a while. It prevents me from playing the game at this point as the stuttering is just too annoying. I have two PC's one is a 2600K @4.5 with a 1070ti and the other is a 7700K @ 4.9 with a 1080ti. The faster PC is the one with issues, the slower PC runs the game just fine. I have tried lowering my settings and I have to lower them to the point that the game looks like a early ps3 game before the stuttering actually starts to clear up. It seems like this game has some kind of issue with the 7700K as I have seen a lot of other people that complain about stuttering in this game have the same CPU, or maybe this game likes DDR3 ram better than DDR4 for some reason? Whatever this cause of this issue, it's extremely odd.

Anyway, after trying every suggestion I could find online and none of them working, I tried to chance the cpu priority in task manager which is a commonly suggested fix for the stuttering and that didn't work either because access was denied. After reading about it, it was clear that the anti-cheat was blocking the access. Since there is no way to disable the anti-cheat even for single player I went ahead and downloaded a cracked version of the game, one that had all or most of the patches. Finally I was able to change the CPU priority and it made no difference at all... so I removed the cracked version as it was just for testing.

Note that I also tried disabling hyper threading in my bios. I had also tried raising the voltage on my ram because someone suggested it could be a ram stability thing. My ram has never been overclocked and I dont have this kind of issue in any other games. I've tried all the suggestions as to which in game settings to change and what NVidia settings to change. Nothing really makes much difference. For a while I actually played with the resolution scale above 100% because making the frame rate lower actually made the stuttering feel a little less consistent but it was a rough experience. My CPU usage is only at like 34% most of the time for this game. Even when I disabled hyper threading it only go up to about 90%.

Oh, and I have this game installed on a high end m.2 SSD.

I really wish they would fix this because this game is amazing if not for this issue.

Edit: I pasted some of this from another thread in which people were talking about changing the cpu priority in task manager as a fix.

I feel like I have done a ton of trouble shooting for this issue, I've posted about it on here before and never gotten a response. It would be nice to at least get some acknowledgement here. I've played a bunch of other Ubisoft games and this is the only one that has a major stuttering issue.

    Hey loser_6,

    Thanks for the extensive information.

Can you raise a support ticket to our website and include your MSinfo and DXDiag from both your faster PC and the slower?
