    Pet peeve or serious issue?

So, last night I think I was killed by my own rocket launcher three times.

The issue is that when I target multiple targets, one of the first targeted sometimes move under a scaffold I'm on or get behind me. SO when I fire the rockets, my idiot agent might shoot at the floor at my feet because the target is under me or shoot a tree a foot behind me because the NPC got behind me.

Shouldn't the agent fire the launcher straight ahead where I was aiming?

It's to the point that I won't even use it any more. I'd love to put my grenade launcher on my Technician.

The only good thing on the Rocket Launcher is to kill ur self while ur in cover and for the boosts u get from the SpecTree. In general the SpecWeapons are useless above Hard difficulty.

Edit: ok ok, i should admin that the Flamethrower can be pretty entertaining in conflict.

"Reduced damage to named enemies" was also a brilliant decision. lol

lol, exactly. I mean what is so special on these weapons if u cant even one shot the weakest enemies? For what i have a Rocket, ROCKET Laucher when i cant lock on targets more than 25m away?! damn even my Kard does more dmg.

Truly! A rocket launcher that launches an enemy seeking missle that does about 1.6 million damage per missle. One would also think that a highly trained Division Agent would not launch a series of missiles directly into an overhead cement wall, or at a target directly below them.

Yesterday, while doing invaded Manning National Zoo, everyone's favorite, I was downed at the end by the super jammer while I was stuck on a twig, or something. The helpful enemy information stated: BrokenFire319 has been killed by "destructable container". WHAT!? That destructable container nailed me for more than 2 million damage!

I just now finished that mission. That is the least fun mission in the game for me. Actually, it's just miserable. I didn't like anything about it. Even the scenery sucks. lol

I did the whole Technician grind for a weapon skin and a blueprint for a weapon that had the holstered talent patched off of it. So yeah... a skin for the rocket launcher. lol

I got one shotted even with the Tardigrade on. So it killed me twice in one shot. lol

There are specific cases where they're really useful. The crossbow one-shots the grates on Dark Hours Razorback, and is effective against legendary chungas. The grenade launcher is good against heroic war hounds (it's a lot of fun on invaded fed bunker). And of course, the rocket launcher is good for blowing yourself up with

They went to great lengths in making sure we would not be able to march through pve content with a special weapon. They even went so far as to take your spec ammo away under many circumstances -- includi9ng if the game drops your connection. I get that you shouldn't be able to walk into the DZ with spec ammo you farmed in the LZ. But why not give it back when you leave? I've been posting about that for quite some time and it remains my "serious issue/pet peeve". lol

The net result is they have neutered the specializations. This game is just not a game that should be played if one is looking for "fun". Many call it a "frustration simulator" and I can somewhat agree.

And speaking of manning zoo invaded -- they fix the mortars yet? LOL. That was broken so long it became the new normal for that mission.

The mortar spam is insane. If it's fixed, I can't even imagine how bad it was before I started. Luckily, I found a magic cloth tarp to stand under that protected me from the mortars.

Then the final battle. Turret, mortar, jammer, turret, mortar, jammer etc etc etc. Just a sh*tty mission in my book.

I know how to play it now so it wouldn't be as bad next time but I'll never go back.

Not a fan of Manning Zoo at all. But your issue with the rocket launcher is well founded. Is it a design problem? Well the spec weapons replace the ultimate skills from The Division. So that is how the devs treat them.

Hence why they are so "restricted", and why many players are confused by them. I mean if you have a rocket launcher on your back you'd think it was a weapon right?

Yet a spec weapon in the hands of a npc is, and I know this sounds strange, a weapon. That's why NPC spec weapons (airburst grenades) can one shot you and why your rocket launch unloading a full salvo of missiles, at best, triggers the named NPC to use an "get out of dead" medkit or just get angry and one shot you.

The weapon blueprint you got is worthless from what I can tell. The only point to it was the holstered talent, so I feel for your frustration. Did you like the weapon skin at least?
