Correct they should stay with youOriginally Posted by Ghost416 Go to original post![]()
Maybe the fact that the Predator mission itself wasn't paid content is playing into it? I just checked the PlayStation Store page for Mortal Kombat X and both the Alien and Predator DLCs are still up for purchase.Originally Posted by Quimera2-98 Go to original post
What the heck are you saying.Originally Posted by Quimera2-98 Go to original post
It's not my logic of my country laws, my sister is a lawyer, my grandmother is also a lawyer and former police chief.
I also study the law (To be informed of my rights).
There is copy rights and everything here.
But here the law states that everything should be clear.
If it's a rent, it should be stated as a rent.
If it's a timed event with timed rewards.
Should be stated as such.
But never in the game, was stated that the rewards were timed and that you were only renting them for a small time.
They were for sale in a pack inside an ingame store.
Here in Brazil, if you buy something, it's yours.
Unless you haven't finished paying.
No one, not even the producers of that something can take it back from you.
If you buy a movie and the studio that made it becomes super embarrassed and wants to delete it from the world.
They can buy it back from you, but here, their copy rights don't give them the right to just take it from you.
You bought it? That copy of it it's yours and your alone, no one can reclaim it.
It they try to forcefully take it from you is theft.
Adding to this, here.
Marketing, publicity and everything is considered a contract.
You know those small words on publicity banners, contracts and everything else.
Here it's illegal, everything should be clear, cant be ambiguous, solid meaning, readable and understandable.
And example to this is:
One day me and my ex wife were walking on the beach in the town of caraguatatuba.
We were hungry and saw a banner for a restaurant from afar.
There it said, food for 15 bucks.
What we didnt knew was that there were really small words printed on the bottom of the banner, in a color that made it blend in and ot be visible for people passing by.
We filled our plate with food, weighted it, and found strange that we didnt received the bill with the weight of the plate and value.
After overhearing tourists complaining about how the banner said 15 bucks but they were paying a lot more.
I overheard the cashier saying that in the banner, says that is 15 bucks for every 100 grams.
I went out and checked the banner, it was really really really small, only readable if you are with your face on the banner.
Inside the restaurant there were no indications to it.
The tourists didn't knew better, but I knew.
I went there and complained saying I wasnt going to pay the value for my food.
(I'm a big dude, I eat a lot, my plates usually have almost 1 kilogram).
He said that he was gonna call the cops.
I said he could call, that I had the CDC to back me up.
He said that I was wrong and if I wanted I could check the CDC that the restaurant had (They usually say this to discourage people, by saying. We are aware of the law, we have a copy of it).
I said, yes.
I want.
He looked me kind of worried and brought the CDC (Consumers defense code)
I looked on the summary for article 54.
Opened the page, and read the 3rd paragraph out loud.
It stated that their whole practice was illegal. If the consumers precinct of the civilian police were to be alerted, the restaurant would be shut down.
So in the end I paid 30 bucks for me and my wife.
Instead of almost 200.
Exemplifying how no contract can make you forfeit your rights over here.
It's a common practice for shopping malls, and other commercial establishment to have a banner saying that they dont consider themselves responsible if your car gets broken in and stolen.
They are responsible if this happen within their establishment parking spaces.
They just hang that there to discourage anyone who doesn't know better.
If your car gets stolen, or your belongings on the car, and they refuse to pay you for it
They are not only liable and able to be sued, they can be criminally charged.
Another example is over here, restaurants have a bad habit of having banners that say:
If you lose your bill (once you weight the plate you receive a bill called comanda)
You will be fined in a value that the restaurant decide.
Or that if you leave food on your plate, you will be fined.
Already had the 2 happening to me (mainly due to my ex wife).
One time we were eating in a restaurant and she has this mental blockage, that no matter the amount of food in the plate, she will always leave a small amount of food on the plate.
So we ate and went to pay and, my plate was 15, hers was 10 and the soda was 9.
Sum it all up and its 34.
When we were going to pay, I saw that the credit card machine was saying 49.
I said it was wrong and the young lady pointed me to the banner.
I chuckled and said, she cant charge me that.
If she didnt believed me she could look article 39, Item V of the CDC.
The same article also defines that if you lose your bill, you cant be charged for it.
It's of the restaurant responsibility to keep track of what their customers are consuming.
This happened one time, at a pizzeria (We got an all you can eat pass which was 30).
Everyone in the table had their comanda, me, ny granny, my sister, my brother and my ex.
She lost hers and the restaurant wanted to charge 100 bucks for it.
My sister promptly said No, pulled out her OAB (Her license of law practice) and said.
Article 39 of the CDC states that you are responsible for keeping track of your customers expenses.
We will pay only for what she consumed.
An all you can eat pass and a couple of soda cans.
Our country doesnt allow abuse against consumers.
The predator mission isn't.Originally Posted by Ghost416 Go to original post
People are talking about the ingame pack that you buy separately on the ingame store (Or receives it, depending on the version of the game you buy)
Hey so I was in the middle of upgrading my skills so I could take on the Predator and now the mission has been removed. Kind of sneaky Ubisoft. But then again shady is your middle name. Not cool to remove content people paid for. We are constantly connected to Ubisoft servers every time we start up the game. Why no heads up about this at all? I had to find out from Google why I was driving around like an idiot through Caimanes looking for the mission marker that disappeared from my game(that I purchased from you). Don't really care about your licensing rights with other companies. As long as you sold me a copy of this game that included this content and now removed it from my game without as much as noticing should be illegal. It probably is. Then again there is the EULA fine print BS. It's just not cool Ubi, Too low even for your standards.
Might be better if you looked in the Wildlands forums as they did announce it in advanceOriginally Posted by Adisoru Go to original post

The game didn't include the Predator mission at launch and it was a free add on, but it was undoubtedly used as a marketing tool to sell copies of Wildlands so in that respect I think you have a point. I'm not sure if Ubisoft could have had done much about Disney calling in the license, though, or more likely raising the price.
