    Licensing issues?

    https://twitter.com/GhostRecon/statu...88688445284353
In Ghost Recon Wildlands, the Predator plans on returning home in T-minus 24 days. We’re counting on you to make sure he’s gone for good. *Skull*
Anyone have any info on why they are removing content from Wildlands?
Is this going to be the next "cross-over" event for Breakpoint? Just going to recycle the licensing?

I don't think that a license can be revoked in something that's already there.
They can surely forbid to add on other games, but removal is really strange.

I believe these types of licenses do expire and need to be renewed if you want to keep using the IP. If you don't pay the fee, the owner of the IP has the right to deny future use of said IP, even in existing media created when the license was valid.

It certainly sounds like the Predator missions will be removed in 24 days. If Wildlands isn't making much money anymore, it would make sense for Ubisoft to let the Predator license expire and remove the content from the game.

How this decision impacts the daily challenges is going to be interesting to observe.

In 2019, Disney purchased 20th Century Fox. My guess would be Disney is pulling in license agreements that 20th Century had.
Especially if they aren't making money from it.

In an alternate universe, the Tom Clancy estate pulls the licensing agreement from Ubisoft and balance returns to the world.

What does this mean for the Predator customization pack? Do we lose the items that are included in it? I'm sure the M16 and Blaser are fine, but what about the face paints, Billy's and Blaine's hats, Hawkins glasses, and such? I paid money for those and if they're taken away, I better get some ******g compensation for it!

I think they are hoping you wouldn't even remind of it.
I bought the most expensive edition of WL and I got a few things of that pack, I surely hope I'll get some sort of compensation as well.
