    Syncing Problems

    Hello

As I previously made a post about dancer cards not being saved in the servers causing resetting without the user changing it. There is yet another issue with the servers remembering stuff.

Kubas sent me 2 screenshots saying that his level on PS4 and Xbox One are not synced even tho his main Ubisoft Connect account is linked to both consoles.

Also, it seems that his score on Blinding Lights Extreme didn't sync up as well.

I and the community suspected that the launch of Ubisoft Connect causes issues such as remembering, but yet we are not sure what causes it

Unfortunately, I can't find a way to resolve any of these issues from our end. I found several things that appear NOT to work:

Unplugging the power cord and waiting several minutes didn't help.

Closing Ubi Connect doesn't make a difference.

Deleting the save file for 2021 doesn't solve the problem, regardless of whether I choose console or everywhere. Closing Ubi Connect and also deleting the save file doesn't help either. It still finds Ubi Connect. (Though deleting the save data did get rid of my 2020 avatar and skin. My avatar and skin continue to revert to one of the 2021 basic choices now instead of my 2020 choices, yet somehow it still remembers my 2020 alias and reverts to that consistently.)

Closing JD 2021 on Xbox, deleting my 2021 save file everywhere, and opening JD 2021 on Switch didn't even work. My issues persist even there. Returning to Xbox after again deleting my save file everywhere didn't work either, but surprisingly my gold Dance Monkey avatar from Switch was found when I started all over on Xbox.

Deleting the save data, disabling the internet, opening JD 2021 on Xbox, at first it seems to work, but as soon as internet is connected again, all the previous issues persist.

I wish I knew what the prospects were for having these issues resolved. If I knew these were likely to be resolved in a few days or even a few weeks, I would just wait and start the game over when it's working right. But if the issue will persist for months (or forever), then it would be nice to know not to wait. Looking at the JD 2020 forum (last year), there is a thread with 5 pages discussing a similar dancer card issue that went on for a very long period and appears to be unresolved. So maybe the prospects for a near-future resolution are slim...?

I guess we can't control this, so I just need to try to focus on dancing and try not to let these issues distract me. Happy dancing, everybody. (If anybody else has suggestions to try, I'd be happy to hear them.)

    Hello TectonicB72!

Would it be possible for Kubas to add to this thread, or contact us via a support ticket. As this is an account-related discussion, it's best if we can discuss it with the account owner directly.

My understanding is that cross progression exists in-game and it should be seamless, so that would warrant an investigation.

@greekphysics Are you contacting us from the Ubisoft account facing this issue, and do you play on any platforms other than Xbox and Switch? Also, specifically what kind of Xbox are you playing on please?

Although I'm unable to provide an ETA, we are reporting everything to our team and we'll continue to stay on top of it.

    Thank you both!

Yes. I primarily use Xbox One S with Kinect (including the adaptor for Kinect for Xbox One S). I have also played on PS4 and Switch (and even Wii U, but not with Wii U since JD 2017).

    Hello Raziel!
I am the owner of the owner of the account in the screenshots with the Rabbid avatar!
Cross progression exists and before JD21 somehow worked, but it would sometimes cause issues like unlocking gifts and making the Gotta Get Em All achievement for getting all gift un-unlockable.
In JD21 however, the cross progression is completely broken and doesn't work properly. I played on both consoles to see any change. Got to under level 40 on the PS4, got to level 47 on
    Xbox One.

I checked the PS4 5 hours later after reaching level 47 on the Xbox, and it was still stuck on 40. Dancer card does not save changes on neither. WDF Rooms also dont change.
The only thing I noticed is that on PS4 I have the (Better!!) Catalog sorting and on Xbox its the Pertience sorting.
If you need anything else, let me know!!
On the Xbox I also played Blinding Lights Extreme, reaching 13K and the score not showing up on my PS4, which showed the score I played on PS4. It also doesn't give me Dancer of The Weeks on neither console.

    Hey kubaratzka,

Can you contact our team on the support website and provide them with your port forwarding setup?

We can pass this onto the team to see if they can look into it further.

    Hi Ubi-Swaggins

Can you explain what is port forwarding setup, because I don't know what it means?

Hello, I never did a thing called port forwarding, nor know how to find it. Sorry.
Also I highly doubt that has to do anything with it as the game doesn't do anything different even when using mobile hotspot.

Any news on this getting fixed soon? My account is also not syncing, it won’t let me change my avatar or skin (it always reverts to the old one after I play one song), and my name and score won’t appear in the dancers of the week when I beat them. This is getting frustrating and annoying, I hope it will be fixed very soon
