You think that in a pve/pvp setting, If you come across another agent. You should be able to press 1 button and send out a drone that does the same amount of damage that the player shooting at you does? Where is the skill (not skills) involved in that. PVP fights should come down to skill. Controlling recoil, Movement, Landing your headshots to do more damage then body shots. Skills should only assist you in either damaging your opponent, healing yourself, crowd control, or emp, etc. See this is the split in the community and why The devs have such a hard time. Players such as yourself. Want the easy way to kill players or NPC's. They want to press a button and let the skills do the work. Not actually play the game, get into battles, You will lose tons of battles in pvp but you will learn how to get better, How to beat your opponents. When I first played PVP in the Darkzone of division 1 I lost so many battles, until i figured out how to win. Through practice, Timing my medkits, Movement, hitting my shot. Not just body shots but headshots. Using grenades to stagger a opponent. There is a skill gap and if you take the time to learn it. You will succeed.Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post
The skill damage should add to the gun damage and make the players evenly matched. Yes, I think one button should make it a fair gun fight.Originally Posted by x0NEMANARMYx Go to original post
It shouldn't be easy. It should be even. Both players should be doing equal damage to the other. A DPS player does a million DPS while a skill player's two skills and his gun all add up to a million DPS. That is the balance. The better gun fighter will win.
I just find 3PP PvP to be god awful. Doubly so for a game with such high TTK, and silly gimmicks.Originally Posted by x0NEMANARMYx Go to original post
If I want PvP, I play PvP focused game like R6S or Battlefield [HC mode] or Hunt Showdown.

Well. currently that is how the game is right now in pvp and hardly anyone wants to play it. The devs have to do something different if they want to save this franchise. I myself would love to see a open world PVE/PVP with some balance. Division 2 has been mainly focused on PVE and well that is fun for a wile.
Did you ever play Div1 PVP? before Division 1 I had never played a game with a long time to kill. I even remember when I first tried Div1 I was not sure how I would like that long TTK. However it kind of grew on me, as I got better. I found myself enjoying it, it was like a chess match. There were a lot of unique talents you could proc mid fight to help you get the advantage over your opponent. This is what I feel is missing from division 2. The PVE in both Div1 and Div 2 were great. I really don't have much negative to say about it. I had my fun. I do think some skills and or talents are useless or cheesy but overall I had a lot of fun on both games with PVE.Originally Posted by LateNiteDelight Go to original post
I only just tried Div1 DZ the other week. I go in the DZ in Div2 occasionally, but I just go in to farm. I've engaged in some PvP fights, but never by choice - even won some of them.Originally Posted by x0NEMANARMYx Go to original post
I grew up playing GoldenEye License to Kill mode, and have never been able to adjust to "normal" TTKs.
Basically, the chess for me is positioning related. I don't want to have to think about procc'ing things - as I'm focused on outmaneuvering my opponent to gain the advantage in timing. At least with R6S, the gimmick is more akin to opening or closing down various potential routes or attack/defense plays.

I understand that this game is a looter shooter and positioning should be important. Many feel that you should not be able to just run up and face tank eachother wile chicken dancing wile you are reloading and using instant heals. But that style of gameplay was unique and many people enjoyed it. It was different. Someone goes rogue on you from behind and starts shooting you in the back. Well in Div1 you had time to react and turn the fight around. This was unique and felt quite good, especially if it was multiple people.
It would destroy the franchise. 90% of players aren't interested in PvP the way the DZ is laid out. For those who like it, it is loved. For the majority of the base however, they hate it. The issue is too many cheaters. PS4 players converting to mouse and keyboard, cronus max, cronus zen, etc.....with the current level of cheating, even Division 3 PvP is impossible. Until cheating is made impossible, most of the base will continue to ignore the DZ.
Careful what you wish for because eliminating PvP and opening the dark zones to PvE players would refresh the game and bring thousands of players back. They out number PvP players by orders of magnitude and all those landmarks and locked away loot would be a change, that something different, that would breath new life into the game and they could do it for practically no cost.Originally Posted by x0NEMANARMYx Go to original post
Just sayin'. Change for the sake of change will not always go the way you want.
