My team have all skill builds, and we can easily farm Heroics - we haven't tried Legendary, but I'm pretty sure we're going to at some point.
So what in the hell was Massive thinking here with the final battle in the Summit? Seriously. Now we have to turn around farm gear to get all red builds to finish 1 fight?
Fix this Massive! I get giving players a challenge; but stop doing it lazily.l
/rant off
In the mean time; we've started farming red gear to do just that final fight. Any suggestions? I see people always talking about shock traps; and clearly a Technician with the one Hive helps out; but should the rest of us concentrate on just crit and damage? Heavy gunners?
You can put turrets on top of the ATM machines on the back wall and they can't be emp'd (far enough away I guess). Foaming the Hunters as they come in the doorway is the only way that has worked for me and groups I've been in. You have to stop them in their tracks and gun them down (quickly) so would suggest a least one DPS build. Keep an eye also on anything the Hunters throw in the room as well ie fire turret etc.
Othewise if they get in the room (especially a couple of them) they just wreck you.
Faraday field stop deployables from disrupting but they can be hacked though so be careful.
A pure dps is focused on crit chance and crit damage. 3 pieces of providence, 1 groupo, coyote and either the named gloves/kneepads or a brand that boosts your primary weapon's damage is what most people are using.
Or tone down the difficulty to normal and solo with a full blue or a sub-optimized "frankenstein" build will do just fine.
Thats what i usually done when needed to finish the project and didnt wanna do players 4 on heroic with 5 hunters.
Beat them at their own game. Three pieces of The System Corruption gear set offers +40% distrupt resistance. I included a Yahl chest for +10% hazard protection (disrupt is a hazard) and equiped disrupt resistence mods in all mod slots. I crafted the generic knees until I got a set that came up with skill tier, skill haste, and hazard protection, and put disrupt resistence in the mod slot.
With 95% disrupt resistence I can use a jammer as often as the cool down will let me. For my second skill I used the riot foam. Have a team member equip shock traps and thrown them on the entrance. Jam, jam, foam, jam, shock, shoot 'em up! Woot!
They **usually** come in to the room one at a time. Everyone in the team should equip a DPS build, my group has used a couple of Bullet Kings to good effect.
Strategy is vital. Only one player should be behind the counter. If others crowd there, the Hunter will jump over and join you all behind the counter, and melee you all to death while your colleague's line of fire to the Hunter is blocked by your dying bodies.
At least two players should equip shock traps so that there is always a trap field inside the door. At least two should have foam grenades. The shock will momentarily stun a Hunter so that it is possible to immobilise him with foam while all four of you pour gunfire into him. Rinse and Repeat. I find that having a Kard in my hand while my shock and foam are active gives them a vital +1 skill tier, then quickly switch to a heavy hitting gun to finish the job.
Ummmm ok tell us how?Originally Posted by No.Soap4U Go to original post
By using rhe System Corruption gear, hazard protection, and disruption resistance mods. All of these things can make you immune to the Hunter's jammer amd in return you can jam them and use your skills.Originally Posted by UMUSTBBORNAGAIN Go to original post
It's a really weak damage build though and yes you actually need 100% disruption resist. I have a build and only at 100% does it keep you from getting disrupted however the healing hive still gets disrupted quite often even at 100%. The build i've been using is a foam/healer build but solo no way would I do enough dmg to take the hunters out.Originally Posted by BrokenFire319 Go to original post
