    Unknown file with ReadFile ()

    Hello guys,
I'm posting this because i have no idea what to do. When i'm trying to switch on far cry primal it appear an FATAL ERROR "File system failure: Aborting Execution. Unknown file with ReadFile()" and thats all what appear. I tried to re-install everything and did few tips that ubisoft or some youtube prefer to do but none was correct and it still appear. Somebody have any idea how to fix it?

Hello there AmarokBlack! Welcome to the forums.

It sounds like there may be a problem with the game reading your files. If you haven't already, please could you try verifying your game files?

I would also recommend running a System File Checker tool, as this will detect any corrupted or missing files on your system.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please don't hesitate to update us!

I mention some common troubleshooting steps for Farr Cry issues on https://steve.farcry.eu.

If all installation files verify fine, try renaming your Windows User's %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Far Cry X\GamerProfile.xml file to reset the game's graphics settings. This may also fix the "Unknown File Readfile()"-error on startup.

Thanks for your input, Steve! I appreciate your dedication to troubleshooting the game.

So i tried all the above fixes to no avail. while looking through the files for the obvious issue that i was missing i noticed the could icon. then it clicked that it was either synched out out of synch with OneDrive. after disabling it entirely, verifying files for the 3rd time to the same answer, i powered the game yet again and it launched with no issues.

so if you have win10/OneDrive enabled, disable it.
