    Hello there musedClient990,

Would you be able to show us a video clip of where the score does not change from 13,000?

Are you able to upload it to a video hosting website such as Imgur or Youtube then send us a link to view it please? Then we can report this on to the team, thank you

In order for your issue to be fixed there needs to be a photo/video proof of the issue so the team will actually see it and fix it. Without proof and ''fix it pls'' won't resolve the issue

I've used Switch, Wii U, Xbox Kinect, and PS4 camera and move in the past. For the past few years, I've primarily used Xbox Kinect though.

With Just Dance 2021, I first danced to Dance Monkey with Xbox Kinect and scored in the 13,200's, and the dozen songs that I've done so far have all been reasonable to score 13k on.

Today, I tried Switch for the first time. I danced to Dance Monkey on the Switch and scored in the 12,800's. Since I haven't used Switch for months, it was a challenge to make myself focus more on my hand, rhythm, and smoothness; I found myself concentrating on leg angles, hips, and other details that are important to Xbox Kinect. The Switch appeared to track and score my dance correctly. When I first brought my hand down, I hadn't cupped it properly the first time, and Switch correctly flagged this as less than perfect. The next time, I made an adjustment, cupping my hand properly, and scored perfect on that move. So it appears to me that Switch is looking for important details and measuring them well.

I would say that my 12,800 for my first attempt of Dance Monkey on Switch is far more reasonable than my 13,200 for my first attempt of this dance on Xbox Kinect. My Kinect score seems a bit high for a single attempt. It seems that Switch places a higher premium on some important details, such as little motions of the hand which Kinect cannot detect, and perhaps the Switch more precisely detects rhythm, smoothness, and synchronization, which are important elements of dancing. While Kinect does detect when I feel that I'm slightly off in some moves, sometimes with Kinect I feel that I'm slightly off and still hit perfect. I feel like Kinect rewards me more for getting my whole body in the right position, and doesn't place as high a premium on being perfectly in rhythm and synchronization (although when I notice that I'm out of rhythm, I do sometimes see this reflected in the Kinect scoring). On Switch, though, it seems that the full-body could potentially be significantly off and "fool" the game into scoring a perfect; does the game really know if the leg angles are correct, the hips are swinging, if the player is hopping on one leg? (Perhaps, indirectly, it can tell some of this... but Kinect can clearly see these things.) Sometimes, Kinect seems to reward me for exaggerating motions, though the best dancers to "watch" probably don't exaggerate their motions as much as Kinect demands. When a dancers appears smooth, graceful, and perfectly in rhythm, that's a thing of beauty to watch, but I imagine it would be difficult to measure gracefulness.

Compared to my previous experiences with Switch, and also watching some YouTube videos this season, it seems like the Switch scoring is far more reasonable in 2021, and less penalizing. In the past, I've always felt that Xbox Kinect had an unreasonable advantage over the other platforms and modes of game play on most of the songs. It's pretty easy to hit 13k on most of the recent dances (once a player understands what Kinect is looking for), and so to be fair to other platforms, it should be reasonable to hit 13k on other platforms and modes of game play, too.

Looking at the DOTW scores, on Kinect it's insane how many of these are 13,333 or in the 13,300's. In Switch, the DOTW scores are also pretty good, but more are in the 13,200's. It seems like Kinect still has the advantage, but it appears that the discrepancy may be smaller this season.
