    I am also having the same problem, I bought Just Dance 2020 yesterday from the eShop, and the game is not working at all because of this error, I will be answering all your questions right now:

    1. I own both JD 2020 and 2021 digitally from Nintendo eShop.
    2. No I don't receive any code, just a black screen saying: "The software has been closed because of an error" and then you get kicked out to the Switch main menu.
    3. Yes, I am able to play the game offline on my main profile, only if I am offline.
    4. Yes, I tried the game online with a new profile, and it works fine, but I don't want to play it this way, my main profile is linked to JD 2019, and 2021, and I don't want to lose my Unlimited record or start a new one, I just want to play 2020 from my main profile just as I do play 2019 and 2021 from it..

    What I noticed from this whole issue:
    The error is happening to people who have used their account to play 2021 and now cannot seem to play 2020 anymore! and the bug/crash only happens in the exact moment the game connects to the internet (to the same account that have Just Dance 2021 data).

    I even tried running the game in offline mode, it worked fine, danced to one song, all perfect, and then while I'm in the game, I turned wifi on, the game said on the top right the following: "we are currently loading online catalog" and then the same crash/error occurred!

    So basically it just an online issue with Ubisoft Connect for a backwards version issue? because the crash only happens when the game goes online.
    I can confirm that this does not happen with 2019, just 2020 and only after having 2021.

    Please tell us if this will be fixed, it is so frustrating, I bought it yesterday and I have never been able to enjoy it yet.

    - Can you please send me a video showing what happens when you load up Just Dance 2021 normally, connected to online?
    - Can you also send me a video that shows your console is in offline mode, and that it will load up and play normally until you connect to the WiFi?

    A user named "patr.j.ck" also posted two YouTube videos in the first page of this thread, his videos are identical to mine, in his post he also said that his JD2020 is Digital while 2021 is physical, I think that also shows the problem is only related to JD 2020 whenever it tires to connect online, and it has nothing to do with the form of those games.

    Sadly the post of "patr.j.ck" had been posted 4 weeks ago, not to mention that I saw many tweets to Ubisoft Support with 0 useful response, along with many people reporting this on the JustDance reddit with 0 help or response from anyone..

    People have not been able to play JD 2020 for like a month now because they bought JD 2021, and not so many of them know that the game would work offline, so basically JD 2020 is unplayable at this point without any word or acknowledgment from the dev team or Ubisoft official socials.

    Please raise this issue because it is not just a simple bug in a game, it is just huge bug that is not allowing people to play or launch the game at all.

    It happens when the game tries to load the Unlimited advertisement, because it seems the subscription can only be tied to one game, so 2021 becomes the owner of the subscription. Boot 2020 on Switch with wifi disabled, starts fine. Turn on wifi then go Profile -> Unlimited and it crashes again

At this moment in time, we don't have any more information to share regarding an ETA for a resolution. Once we have news to share, we will post it within the forums, so please keep an eye out!

    In the meantime, our development team have been able to find some workarounds. If you experience a crash, please can you try launching the game again, as the development team have found that the crash does not always occur after repeated attempts to launch the game.

    If you experience consistent crashing, we suggest that you use an alternative Nintendo profile to play Just Dace 2020 in the meantime. I understand that this is not the most convenient solution, but it should allow you to continue playing Just Dace 2020 as we work towards a permanent solution.

    We apologise for any inconvenience caused at this time, and appreciate your ongoing patience throughout the investigation

    I tried opening the game for a continuous one hour with no luck of getting into the game not just once

    Glad to know the team is working on it though.
