I mean, why in hell should i waste that much resources, when i can easily farm 10 ars on targeted loot to dismantle them and get the same result?
Im even getting steel and 230 receiver components by dismantling them.
And i bet it will be much faster than i can "farm" the components ill lose on that bad deal.
I'm guessing it's mostly used as a material sink. Most players who'll be bothering with optimization probably don't craft much which means you have tons of resources going to waste (especially if you're deconning gear for weaves/alloys). At least with these BPs we have something to use the mats on without them going to waste
Dismantling has a good chance of dropping the right material. It's not guaranteed as far as I understand it. Crafting guarantees 10 materials at a set cost.
At any rate, the optimization economy is screwed up. There's no way they can leave it as is.
I just did a check on a random chest piece. It had 8.4% skill damage out of possible 10%. It's going to take hundreds of control points to get it to 10%. 54 control points on normal just to bump it 0.6% to get to 9%. Insanely high costs.
The control points drop 1 recon material per difficulty level. So, even heroic will take 14 control points to get the 54 recon mats for my first step. It's not worth the time. There's no need to grind mats. Just check in every few months and see if you can bump something a half percent or so.
Its guaranteed. Every scrap gives mats, no matter if weapon or gear as long its a high end one. So this crafting **** seems obsolete. Id rather dump my mats in something else.Originally Posted by mckrackin5324 Go to original post
It depends. If you have other stuff to spend resources on then cool, no harm no foul. However there are plenty of players who already have everything crafted/recalled and are capped on material storage which means when breakind down weapons for alloys/weaves the other mats go to waste. This is a nice little supplemental use for mats for those with the spare resources, rather than an a complete alternate farming method.Originally Posted by AngryMonchhichi Go to original post
Well i am constanly full of mats. But id prefer to go for farm run and spend mats for calibrations (of items i have never used before which are hoarded in the stash for the day i was hoping they'll increase inventory space), not optimizations.
But sure, everybody has her/his own concern. For me at least those blueprints feel pointless.
