    Memento backpack for everything.
    Chatterbox for speed runs.
Pestilence is literally the best LMG in the game.
Coyote Mask for groups mostly using shooting instead of skills.

I mean, those are pretty much all I ever use. Everything else is kind of niche. Ridgeway's Pride sounds good on paper, but I think it relies too much on the bleed, which is useless against drones, turrets, and dogs.

The new shotgun coming up in TU12 might have potential, especially when used with the Hunter's Fury set.

Exotics I don't use but have opinions on:

    • Imperial Dynasty: What a waste of an exotic slot. MAYBE if the fire triggered every 5-10 seconds.
    • Bullet King: Despite sounding good on paper, it's damage just isn't anything special. Pestilence also does damage while not actually firing, and does it while you're behind cover.
    • Acosta's Go-Bag: Maybe some use if you rely on Overcharge? There's a niche build with Mad Bomber and survival nades, but that's about it.
    • Tardigrade: Get better at using cover. Or if you need unbreakable to survive, then save the exotic slot and use a brand chest instead.
    • Lady Death: PVP meta build. And PVP is garbage, so this exotic is garbage.
    • Chameleon: I mean...again, it sounds good on paper. But ONLY when the buffs are up. I prefer weapons that are more reliable.
    • Diamondback: Might be good if sniping wasn't crap in this game. Enemies juke and dodge like Usain Bolt with epilepsy. Good luck.
    • Sweet Dreams: Waste of a talent. Waste of an exotic slot in your build. Any red or blue that close to a shotgun should die from normal fire.
    • Merciless: ROFL. So bad it's not even worth describing.
    • Backfire SMG: Utter garbage without an entire build set up around bleed resist. It's crap.
    • VIle Mask: Again, sounds good on paper, but end up not being all that great. Good if you don't have any other exotic to use, I guess?
    • BTSU Gloves: They're.....ok? Good for groups if you have a group that knows what you're doing, and knows what they're doing. That's pretty niche.
    • Nemesis: Sniping again. But t his time with an extra hurdle to landing shots. Pass.
    • Ravenous Rifle: Novelty gameplay. Good damage, but locked to the raid. Just use a Classic M1A. Easier to use and obtain.
    • Ridgeway's Pride: It's.....meh. Not the worst thing ever, but you have to make your entire build around it.
    • Dodge-City Holster: Just don't.
    • Sawyer's Kneepads: I don't use this very often, but it does have some builds that are VERY strong. However, mostly outclassed by Memento, IMO.
    • Regulous pistol: It's alright if you like revolvers. It hits decently hard, but the trait isn't as useful as it sounds. Enemies rarely stack up enough for it to work unless you're camping doorways.
    • Eagle Bearer: Used to be really good. Not so much any more. Definitely not worth the trouble to get.
    • Big Horn: Similar to the Eagle Bearer. It's more of a status symbol, I guess? There are better rifles, and better ARs.
    • Mantis MMR: If you must snipe, this is the weapon I would probably use. The decoy skill helps, but isn't required.

    Special note:

Ninjabike Kneepads: I would absolutely use these for a shotgun build I saw on Reddit. But the damn things just won't drop.

Keep in mind, these are just my personal opinions based on the way I play. It doesn't mean these exotics are universally bad, just that for the way I play the game it doesn't fit for one reason or another. YOU might use one to play at god-tier with an exotic that I think it complete garbage. That's the nature of the game.

Acosta's Bag has been fun on my skill build with striker drone and restorer hive. I stay on over charge and practically immortal inside the hive's range on challenging and pretty hard to kill on heroic.

Chatterbox is fun with Hunter's Fury too. So is the Chameleon. My go to for missions with EMP jammers. Memento is on that one too.

I don't really have the inventory to make anything of the rest of the stuff. Not yet.

im a sniper freak so the mantis is my top pick ,nemesis is better but in hight tiers you dont have the time to keep your head out of cover that long and the way it shoots doesnt feel natural at all so i dont like it , memento comes as second top pick.

also love the liberty and dig the coyote and vile but that´s it , i have all other exotics minus the raids stuff, by the dozen , but i dont use any of them.

As previously stated a wide variety of exotics have a niche existence. Ill sign that.

    Some are totally useless.

My all purpose favourite since the beginnings is the Pestilence. Absolutely love it!

I have a lot of fun with acostas go bag. On my skill build.

Nemesis is an amazing sniper rifle takes a little adjusting to the fact the shot is fired when you release the trigger not when you press it but I like it as its an actual 1 shot 1 kill sniper. And like someone mentioned earlier its honestly better than the tac 50. Sniper specialist weapon

Dodge City holster is a good holster especially when running pistolero or ammo directives the only down side is its over shadowed by things like the coyote or memento. The holster isn't bad its just to costly to use in terms of what you have etc give up.

The chameleon isn't terrible when its buffs are up it just takes to long to activate them.

The sweet dreams I did play with on a hunters fury build around getting up close and personal and it worked very well.

    • Bullet King: Not needing to reload, makes it the highest sDPS LMG. Only thing stronger is a full dot procc'd Pestilence.
    • Chameleon: You must have missed the Buff it got. It's only 3% worse than the average AR unprocc'd - but procc'd it's off the chart. Plus, it has SMG CHC.
    • Diamondback: Auto-Crit, without needing any CHC - if you can hit your shots. M1A is just an Average Rifle, post nerf.
    • Sweet Dreams: Shouldn't be a cooldown on Talent, but it rocks. Sorry you can't Shotgun well.
    • Backfire SMG: HzP without sacrificing Crit - how can this be bad?
    • VIle Mask: Status Builds! plus procc's w/Jammer Pulse
    • Ravenous Rifle: literally the strongest gun in the game, without considering the talent [except a procc'd Chameleon].
    • Dodge-City Holster: The perfect Boomer killer [21m Liberty Headshots] .. but I miss the old version with 400% Optimal Range
    • Regulous pistol: literally the strongest Sidearm in the game, without considering the talent.
    • Eagle Bearer: The best all around AR, plus Tenacity allows you to facetank if your TTK is low enough.
    • Big Horn: Allows you to carry three primary weapons [since it's both a Rifle & AR, freeing you up to have a CQC weapon]

The Bullet King makes players lazy and easy targets. Not needing to reload gives players tunnel vision and then they are easily flanked. I was so happy when two of my clan mates finally started using other weapons because now I don't have to spend as much time reviving them.

I loved the Acosta's Go Bag and used it exclusively for my skill build. Tossing a grenade and getting overcharge meant getting my hive back a lot faster and the ability to spread the jammer pulse far and wide. However, once I realised that the BTSU gloves basically halved the refill-rate of my stinger hive... Ascosta's got stashed. While I lose a potential damage attribute due to BTSU being healing-related (haste and repair skills) the refill-rate (1.1s/drone) more than makes up for it. Deconstructing the hive for overcharge and resetting team member hives is just frosting on the cake for me.

I recently completed the project for Ridgeways Pride and put together a submachine gun build with Hunter's Fury; I didn't find it to be especially deadly. The talent requires that you shoot enemies to get them bleeding, which is fine, but the armor-regen portion requires that you have several bleeding enemies nearby to be useful. Which means you need to shoot, but not kill, multiple enemies within close range to get any benfit from it. I am not usually in the habit of shooting enemies and leaving them alive.

    I use:

BTSU on my stinger hive build - it's great, and must have
Vile on firestarter chem eclipse - also good. There are other branded alternatives but i've found the extra dot comes handy
Coyote on my dps and true patriot build - probably my most used exotic, because i prefer guns over skills.
Memento on my hybrid - its growing on me

    I've used:
Chameleon on my hybrid - i stopped using it after a complete build overhaul. People dislike it because: "iT's An sMg nOt an aR". But it's a great and fun gun after the much needed rework.
Pestilence - damage is monstrous once the stacks are built. Then you only need to fire a bullet here and there to refersh the duration
Sweet Dreams - to do quick work on the annoying "i eat bullets for breakfast" heavy weapons guy (believe me or not i had difficulties taking them down...i still do sometimes). Also good for skill users for the occasional oh f... moment when you get flanked.
