When it first came to Division 1 it was a pain in the *** too with The Dark Zone being the only way to get Dtech.

Then people whined and complained about how long it took and low and behold they added West Side Piers for more Dtech, Dtech added to Exotic Caches, Dtech added to Weekly Caches, Dtech added to monthly drops, Dtech added to Daily Tasks etc... to the point you could easily max out any item with little effort.

If you had more than one character it was even easier as you could do all these things and all your Dtech went into the same pool for optimization.

It was only a matter of months for 4 characters to have max rolled gear (5 sets on character 1) (3 on character 2), (3 on character 3), and (3 on character 4) including every single item stored in the stash.

Give it a month or so and it will take hours instead of days to get what you need. The whiners are very vocal and Ubisoft is the poster child for bending to peer pressure.

The Division 3 is just around the corner.
You're literally whining and complaining. You understand that, right? lol

I always laugh when people think their whining and complaining should carry more weight than someone else's whining and complaining.

Also, right now, it's not days to optimize a piece. It's literally months.
They're already talking about the scavenge points on watches. People have it saved up and ways of getting it fast so it will likely be removed.
They seem determined to make it painful.

I won't even be checking in to see the cost. It's pointless as it stands.

So it's either terrible RNG fatigue or going insane doing every daily/weekly projects for an entire year just to max out a single build?
I suspect that the optimization station is targeted at players who already have nearly god-rolled gear already, and just want that last couple of percents, and who likely already have a pile of stuff sitting around to convert into mats anyway.

If you don't do legendary missions and don't go in the DZ, you're talking about 100 daily projects to do 1%. LOL... 100 days. For one percent.

The economy is definitely in place holder mode right now. The more I think about it, the more absurd it gets. This can't be the actual plan.

Don't forget that there is still the traditional farm method that will yeild better results.. you know, going out and killing NPCs.

You're now given a fail safe tho, that eventually gets you there, should RNG not be kind.

I genuinley don't understand why people would be so upset about paying high prices for a small increase. With this game we've done it for 2 years now, why would it come as shock that it would take a long time to get your final 0.2%. Like it makes a massive difference.

Go play Div1 those that care, the drop rates for classified set items are a flat 1%(?) unless gained during a GE. Be glad you're getting your sets, now grind for the rest, even if it is only small amount.

    Games need something to chase.

No. There are several materials required for each roll and daily and weekly missions is the ONLY source for one of them.
Each roll requires ALL of the things I listed. Not just one.

And no, god rolled pieces will NEVER drop outside of legendary missions. No matter how much farming you do. Not really complaining about that. It is what it is. I'm just playing for field prof caches because the world will produce nothing.
