Oh how cute I thought - I played AC Black Flag as my first game on PS4 back in the day and today I'll play AC Valhalla on my PS5.......little did I know that having the PS4 Disc Version of it, with the Free Digital PS5 Upgrade branding on it, would not in fact let me claim the PS5 copy. Just as well I didn't also buy the PS4 version of Watch Dogs Cor Blimey Governor. UK Ubisoft/Sony Please.

I created a Turkish PSN account and it allowed me to upgrade my UK Bought watchdogs legion to ps5 and then I could play on my main account. Hope this helps some people.

I sold my PS4 disc version for £40, and then bought the PS4 & PS5 version in the PSN for £38

it really is great in PS5 - I know this won’t help you out, but it is worth it

I have tried posting on twitter to Ubisoft UK and AskPlaystation UK about this issue, nobody has replied.

I also did this and it works - just a bit of a faff. At least, it's let me play the game My console shows game version 1.02 but I the latest patch is supposed to be 1.05 - so it's not quite right. Looking forward to them bugs.

Hi everyone! I'm very sorry for the difficulties caused by this issue with upgrading your copies of Watch Dogs: Legion from the PS4 version to the PS5 version. Please try the following steps to troubleshoot this issue further:

1) Select game in Library (please make sure it is the PS5 copy of the game)
2) When the hub appears, in the top right there's a "Free Upgrade" Tile
3) Click Download

At this point, the system should download the PS5 version of the game. Please post updates here should the issue persist after completing these steps.

No upgrade tile for me. PS4 disc is in, and PS4 version is installed, but nothing about the free upgrade.

I have a UK disc edition of Valhala. I have a UK ps5. When I select the Valhala icon, it is the ps4 version. I can't select a ps5 version, because it isn't there. The icon in the hub does not display an upgrade option, but instead an icon wanting me to pay £59.99 for the full game.

I appreciate you trying to help us all. I also know its a weekend.

However, this is so frustrating for everyone in the UK. What's more frustrating is the silence. We're trying to be patient while it is worked on, but I think it is going to need some work from ubisoft or Sony to get this fixed. Please could anyone who can please look into a fix for us?

I don't want to have to make a new region profile, I don't want the game from a different region in case there are save or Dlc issues. I really hope a fix happens as I want Valhala to be the first next gen game I play.

Both watchdogs legion and Assassins Creed Valhalla won't update to ps5.. I've now spent an hour installing and looking for ways round this..

Can you either stop advertising it as a free upgrade as one clearly doesn't exist?

Fix the store so it works correctly.. Two other titles
