    I have a US copy of Maneater I was able to upgrade it in UK. They could've just pull down region lock of their games and have anyone upgrade no matter what region the copy is from. As long as they have a disc it doesn't matter. If I can play Turkish upgrade on UK copy of a game on my UK account there is no reason to region lock Watch Dogs Legion or Valhalla.

    As they required the PS4 disc to play the upgrade after download you are right, it would make more sense just to unlock all the updates even if it's for a set amount of time until they resolve the issue.

    Like many have said this may also be my last Ubisoft purchase, their customer service staff were rude and quite ignorant when looking for help and finally suggested I make a foreign account. Though they've acknowledged this now it wouldn't surprise me if this takes at least another 10 days to finally unlock. Abysmal service all round from them.

    I just received an email from PlayStation Support -

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for your patience while we looked in to the situation with Assassin's Creed Valhalla for you.

    I can confirm that we have had an update from our team and that the issue has now been resolved so you should now be able to go ahead and obtain the PS5 upgrade.
