I spoke to support earlier and they’ve advised ‘it’s with the legion team. No ETA on a fix’. Which is sad because I really want to get on with the game!

I looked into this a bit online. It would appear that 13034 is the version on the UK (rest of EU too?) PSN. 13035/36 are uploaded to the Turkish and Russian PSN’s. Therefore if you have the corresponding disk and regional PSN account you can get the free upgrade no problem. If there’s a discrepancy anywhere you’re, currently, out of luck?

If this is true then why are they distributing the wrong version in the UK with a UK marked box and instruction sheet? This seems very odd to me.

Argos has accepted my request for return and refund for valhalla. Will see if it all goes through. Recommend you guys try the same with your retailers.

It may just be that those other version need to be uploaded to each storefront?
Although that, in the face of it, seems like an easy fix which shouldn’t take this long?

We've discussed that the version of the game you've purchased doesn't match the location on your Playstation account, which causes you to not be able to upgrade for PS5.

In your case, you may have to contact you retailer directly, as the game was not purchased from the official Ubisoft Store.
But wouldn't that mean that Ubisoft basically supplied the wrong editions to official retailers in certain countries?!

I purchased my copy from GameStop in Ireland, who I've always presumed to be an official retailer, since they had exclusive access to the Ultimate Edition on disk. But as support told you that you have the wrong edition and need to return it (plus my copy doesn't give me the option to upgrade to the PS5 version on either the Irish or UK store) then wouldn't that put the issue in the supply chain and what was supplied to stores?

This is starting to get really frustrating now, an official response on what we are supposed to do would be greatly appreciated! Should we wait for a fix or should we return the games for a refund since they are from the incorrect region?

I'd like to see what the moderators say first though before I can make an informed decision. Not that I can even go to GameStop yet since our lockdown hasn't ended and my local store is closed....

So 8 days after the launch of the PS5 in the UK, I’m still waiting to play the two titles I bought because they were specifically advertised that I would be able to play them natively.

It’s ridiculous. False advertising. I wouldn’t have bothered purchasing either had I been told I’d have to wait over a week to play them.

Both of mine are UK disc, gold editions that cost upwards of £75 each

    Watchdogs Legions - CUSA13035
    AC Valhalla - CUSA18535

Why has there been no announcement or further update? What are Ubisoft/Sony going to do to compensate people?

Disgusting customer service from Ubisoft on this. I have given up on this getting fixed and requested a refund. I hope it gets fixed for those who are holding out hope, but far too little too late for me. Won’t ever be buying a Ubisoft game again unless it’s pre-ownned so they don’t get any of my money

I have just written to the Ceo of Ubisoft UK about this.

Hopefully get a response soon 😁

That's how i'm feeling. It's odd that UK retailers are selling the Turkish/Russian version, according to the disc/box codes, when it would be distributed by Ubisoft directly to them.

I've contacted my retailer about getting a refund or exchange and basically been told no as the game has been opened and the codes used, so I'm stuck.

Yup, I've just been told the same. No grounds for a return and it is outwith the normal return period.
