I don't particularly care for it, and would also prefer new playable content, but plenty of long-time Div 1 players have been asking for it from day one.

Before the game was released, there were sounds of survival & the underground world, etc. The official rejected it clearly.

    Give you an expedition...Kenley Academy.

It is now generally considered the end of the game.

We are still adjusting Kenley Academy.

I think that first copy some modes (with slight modifications) to satisfy the retention of players.

&Develop new things at the same time.

    Business decisions are wrong.

From my perspective, I have 1800+ hours in the game, and it is only NOW, at this point, that I view that I've done everything, optimized all of my gear, established all types of loadouts and experimented with various playstyles, etc. Furthermore, we all need to acknowledge a few simple points, namely (a) very FEW games allow one to play this long for the price that we paid for it, and (b) I suspect that this community would be highly reluctant (overall) in paying for new content, if it were to be released. There is no way that ANY developer or publisher can produce enough content to keep the die-hard fans happy forever, for at some stage, we all need to realize that these games are finite. Yes, we will get Season 4, and probably Seasons 5, 6, and 7 (who knows...), but it will likely be more of the same, and a signal to many of us to move on to another game.

As a corollary, look no further than Activision and their Call of Duty franchise. Every YEAR they effectively publish a new COD and charge a hefty premium for the game, with a SHORT 5-10 hour single-player campaign, and additionally, expensive Seasons and Cosmetics. Do you know how much Activision made in the horrid micro-transacitons in only THREE months from July through September this year? $1.2 Billion, yes, $1.2 Billion, in 3 months (https://www.kitguru.net/gaming/musta...-three-months/)

So, in comparison, microtransactions are very light here, but Activision gets people to buy a new game EVERY YEAR and furthermore, spend TONS of money on microtransactions. That's how they can afford to produce more and more content. In comparison, Ubisoft is not even close, and frankly, I am surprised that they provided as much content as they have so far.

What's the solution? Well, I have been quite vocal about converting the existing Classified Assignments into open missions, and allowing everyone to play these missions and allow for them to be available for matchmaking and higher difficulty. Personally, the Mexican Embassy is one of my favorites. Have any of you played this one? It's story-mode, but the map is nice and entertaining.

Anyway, let's not make the mistake of asking for more and more, as that is just not realistic from a business perspective. I do encourage everyone to support future content, if they do indeed offer it to the community, for everytime new content is rejected, you effectively send a signal to the publisher to not offer new content in the future. If you like the game, and the new content is of good quality, we as gamers should support the devs.

    Cheers.

Ironic since I actually tried to play that very mission last night, but someone in my party (who is almost SHD level 3,500) was not eligible even though it was my world/map.

Never really did understand why they were asking for it from day one as it would have been completely useless with the original budget system in the first year of the game pre gear 2.0.

First of all Summit was good, it is very similar to underground which came with an incursion and cost 15 dollars, the Summit was included in wlony for 30 along with a free raid that would have been pointless to even attempt with the expansion, and dont say it was free just because they gave it to the people that had already bought the expansion because for others if they want the Summit they have to buy the expansion for 30 dollars not free. Unground came before survival so they probably started plan a survival mode after the Summit release. About optimization it won't change nothing for me, as my stats r maxed, recalibration of all stats is the only thing that would help me as optimization did in d1, we have a very different recalibration system in d2, my library is full of maxed stats and I would think anyone that has over 30h of playing legendary Summit would too. Optimization in d1 still took 100s of hours of collect division tech, I played for 2k plus hrs and I still have builds that r not fully optimized, in my opinion if stats in the were one time use and u could recalibrate all stats it would be much like d1, but instead of them needing to add division tech to grind for that just limit 1 use for each stat and u grind for max stats, give the need to collect all drops agian. And if ur whining about new players being able to come straight in and have gear in 30 hrs as good as players that have 2k hrs, then u need to quit wrorring about other people and have fun playing the game for what a game is designed for, the only reason I can I of for that bother poeple is the fact that they cant trolled new players in dz cause their because their gear being garbage.

All games come to a end, some players stay some move on, but honestly making gear easier and easier to max after a game has been out over a year an half just gives new player the opportunity to compete with players that already have optimizated builds, if they didn't by time new players could compete with old players, the old play would have already moved on, but also it gives easy access to maxing builds, for players who r bored with content and just like to experiment with builds until they release more content, either content that takes a fully optimized builds, or something live survival that doesn't matter what gear u have.

My point is, Division can be a forever game if they didnt add the optimization station. Players are still playing Grand Theft Auto 5 online, a 3rd person open world that came out in 2013, cause they keep adding new content

If they added ten new rare weapons and new gear and no optimization station, Id still be playing Division 1 . How hard is it to understand? the environment is too beautiful to give up so easily. Division DOES remind me of Grand Theft Auto 5 online, which did a map of Los Angeles. Open world environments should be kept alive for multiple years instead of discarded like quickly made Call of Duty maps

2 very different parent companies and player bases. GTA probably has double if not triple the number of players as what Division does. Just watching right this second on twitch, there's 516 viewers watching Division 2, and 128K watching GTA5. 778K people follow the Division 2 channel, versus 39M for GTA5.

Let's look at another example, Destiny 2 vs Divison 2. Granted Destiny just had a huge update this week, currently there are 34K people watching versus the measly 516 for Division. Destiny has 4.6M followers versus the 778K listed for Division. Mind you one streamer showed this week that he was in a que of over 16,000 people to get in the server to play Destiny. You think there's EVER 16K on in Division?

Finally, let's look at an even older Ubisoft game, R6:Siege. R6 currently at this second has 20.5K viewers, and a following of 15M versus the numbers already listed for Division..

Do you see why the other games still get new content? The player base isn't there in our beloved Division, and NOTHING with the exception of Division 3 is going to bring it back. Trust me, I want new content as much as the next agent, but some of the community aren't being realistic about a game that is 20+ months post launch.

I would KILL for a NYC: DZ and other add on content in the next 4 months, but we need to be realistic with our expectations.
