    nice!
    info:
Ubisoft in Australia has confirmed that preorders for their upcoming action adventure game Assassin's Creed will begin this October, with all gamers who preorder receiving a limited-edition pack of the game.

The preorder pack will come in a collectible metal display box which features a numbered authenticity hologram. As well as the game, the pack will come with a bonus DVD which includes wallpapers, screensavers, Assassin's Creed videos, and "The Artefact"--a PC application which grants VIP access to exclusive information and content. An Assassin's Creed comic book will also be included.

Prices for the pack, however, will vary depending on which platform gamers decide to purchase for. PS3 owners will have to pay the most at A$119.95, Xbox 360 owners get the next most expensive at A$109.95, while PC owners get it for A$89.95.

Assassin's Creed will be released in Australia in November this year.

Something I found a bit odd about the cover design of this game is the tech style interface. While the game's interface isn't tech neither is anything else in the game, the cover and webpage, movies, previews are all with digital interfaces which just seem a bit odd since this games placed in a time period that this kind of interface just doesn't fit.

None the less it still looks awesome but a little out of place in consideration to what the game is :P.

I don't understand why the LE contents for the Australian release is different to the US.

On Gamestop.com the LE contents for the PS3 version are listed as:

The Assassin's Creed Limited Edition contains:

    Penny Arcade comics
    Mini strategy guide
    Bonus disc including:
    - Winners of Assassin's Creed short film contest
    - Behind-the-scenes videos
    - Developer diaries
    - Trailers
    - Producer interviews
    - Downloads and more

A sci-fi element? Well I didn't say it wasn't sci-fi, even though now that you mentioned it this game from what I've seen still doesn't seem like it's trying to be a "Sci-Fi" genre game. More like you get to play as an assassin in an older time. With more of a realistic point of view than fantasy, so I wouldn't say they aimed for it to be "Sci-Fi" and that's what brought me to wondering why they would create a web site and cover design for this game also trailers that seem to have transitions and load bars with a digital interface of a game that it doesn't really go with.
