I like just about everything in Division 2 better than 1. I would prefer to have Incursions back over raids and would love a survival mode. Summit has made me NOT miss Underground I really like the mode but ya more open world activities and a reason to grind(hopefully optimization station cures this) and Survival for me.
There's nothing wrong with people wanting new versions of things they enjoyed, and that brought them to the franchise in the first place. Whether they can be implemented without being a boring retread is a separate question.Originally Posted by TxDieselKid Go to original post
I would love a "turf war" mode like GTA San Andreas, with a twist. You set how many faction members start in the pool, and how many JTF you have available to help. You can also decide if you want Rogue Agents helping the factions.
DC is split into 4 sectors, radiating out from the White House. You need to slowly push back each faction into their Stronghold. As you take territory, JTF agents will populate and attempt to hold your turf while you push further. They'll alert you when a faction attempts to gain back ground so you can come help out. You'll also find factions pushing into each other's territory. CPs still exist, but the other stationary activities are replaced by "outposts" [mini-CPs]. Convoys still exist [with a Rogue Agent escort if selected]. Each final wave on a CP is "Elite" with a Named Elite.
Once you hit the Stronghold, each is redesigned into a wave arena for you to chew through the remaining enemies that didn't die in the turf battles. Rogue Agents will be the final enemy if selected.
Lastly, you can turn on Hunter's, to randomly join in fights around the map.
A dark zone that's true to the original concept.
Go and watch all the videos from before the first game was released like at e3. Where they said the darkzone was NOT a PVP area it was instead risky PVE. And they also said it was lawless and players could do anytbing in there. Many players myself included kinda envisioned darkzone adventures as a elite spec ops team that wants to get in complete the objective and get out before anyone realises they're even in there.
But instead of sticking to the concept its basically become this cesspit of ganking and a sorry excuse of a pvp mode that does nothing but drive players away or cause them to complain endlessly and get everything needed to the ground ruining PVE gameplay.
Not to mention all the laws and rules they've added meaning players can't play how they want at all. Like in D1 when players were using survivor link to extract there loot and get out without being caught up in PVP. They said you cant do that and added cut the rope rules to try and force them to stay and fight...
Wasn't bad on release for the first week or so. But then people whined that dying as rogue was expensive. Despite the fact it was supposed to be. Hence the risk factor...
One day some game somewhere will take the idea and do it right.
