I would love to hear some fresh ideas about new game modes that the Dev's should bring in now that we are 20+ months post release. No doomsday'er's saying how dead the game already is please, take that negativity somewhere else.
What I do NOT want to see, is anything related to D1. Be creative, and look outside of the Division series at other games of the genre.
Personally, I think the new Arms Race from Borderlands, and the Slaughter Shafts they have offer great loot chances/drops, and a fun wave based game mode that is rewarding with loot. The key to it MUST to be on the rewards, NOT the accomplishment of getting further in the number of waves/etc. We play this game for loot.
Yes, there was a wave/horde based game mode in the past, but what's a fresh take on it not done in the series before?
Also, yes, I love the DZ too, but that's a different thread so let's stay away from that for now.....
Survival and last stand and dont think of a copy from d1, when I say survival I mean a short mode that can be beat in 15 minutes and up with no time limits, random loot locations for food, water, ect. Instead of a timer that expires they could make it where u have to eat and drink to refresh it, water and food respawn in random locations so u have to look for it, giving the ability to play as long as u want, maybe replace the close to survive the cold with a durability on armor so u have to find repair kits. For last stand a different kinda pvp mini game than d1, maybe like a capture the flag kinda game where each team has a side and a flag to capture from the opposing team, when u cross the line if ur killed a teammate has to revive u, first team to get the flag to their side wins. if u want something from other games, go play those games.
I'd like a game mode that shows the activation of the division units. Where we start at Day 1 of Division activation when the city is in total choas. We get our orders, get deployed, and then we get trapped in the DZ and have to try to make our way out by any means necessary. Each player would get a random different build type and we would have to work as a unit to make it out alive. One guy would be healer, one skills, one DPS, and one tank, all random. If someone dies, he's dead, hardcore style and you have to move on without him. Build quality scales with difficulty setting.
Make this mode take 45min or so to complete and it can be played in solo to 4 players groups. Solo players can choose the build they want. Groups randomize them.

The game live a short life, d1 is still got more life, I matchmake for legendary missions in d1 I dont even get out of the fast travel screen most time, d2 I waited ten minutes for a match and most time I just move to something else, even Summit matchmake has already dropped, 1 day it took a few seconds an the next 5 minutes. Poeple keep wanting stuff from other game titles, go play those games, this is the division, and the division is what poeple want for the division. We are at a difference of opinions. I don't want the series to stray away from the things I liked, I would rather them to find ways to make them better.
