I made a healing build that's heals 345k with the hive but I wanted the turret for dps, I can get overcharge and do 225k for 15 seconds, I thought I would be able to stay in overcharge almost constantly because it only says ally's can not benefit from if for 120 seconds, how long do I have 2 I wait, is it glitched, or did they just want poeple to figure it out on their own.
Well from what I remember, you have to deploy and then destroy your hive to get the overcharge from the gloves. If you have 6 yellows and then deploy/pop your hive it should in concept be giving you overcharge. Or try to find a future perfect weapon to give you overcharge as well. So much is buggy in the game at the moment, but instead of really fixing them, or the highest priority items, they're just banging out new TU's on us.
In my experience, you can only get the overcharge effect every two minutes. There is a little symbol that pops up when you deconstruct the hive, when it goes away you can do it again. It works for me just fine.
None of the talents that give overcharge allow it to happen more often than about every two minutes, in my experience.

Step 1: Deploy your hive.
Step 2: Hold the deployment key (Q or E on PC) to destroy your hive. The hive needs to be destroyed, not picked up. Picking up the hive will not trigger overcharge.
Step 3: Enjoy the 15 seconds of Overcharge.
Step 4: After the Overcharge wears off, you will need to wait for the 2 minute cooldown before you can trigger the Overcharge again.
One of the main benefits of this is that you give everyone on your team overcharge, not just yourself. It also resets any cooldowns on your allies' skills so for example if you have three people running DPS builds and Revive hives, if their hives are all on the long cooldowns you can trigger the BTSU overcharge to instantly reset all of their cooldowns so they can benefit from the self-revive again.
That what I thought but I was just making sure since the description only mentions allys benefiting from it every 2 minutes, I mainly use it for hive recovery, my turret does 108k 164k with all talents and my heal hive is at 345k and charges at 1 second plus like u said it really helps ally if I keep overcharge for when needed.Originally Posted by dejector Go to original post
The cooldown on the overcharge applies to everyone on your team and I believe it blocks other people from also using BTSU overcharge as well so having more than one player with it equipped is not useful. When I pop mine on my healer build I recharge back up to 29 out of 32 charges before the overcharge runs out, so it's great if you ran out of charges because you only need 1 charge to regen before you can deploy and pop it for the overcharge and get back to full heals quickly.
