What would you like to see now for TD2?

As with most people I see the introduction of the optimisation station as the beginning of the end for the gear game in TD2.
I am on-board with it's introduction at this stage though as many players well into end-game are struggling to find anything new to do and the grind for resources to optimise that last 0.1% stat on a maxed out build will keep me going for a while yet.

I am very happy to see the 50 slot inventory increase.
Is there also going to be a corresponding increase in the inventory mod slot count as well?
(and maybe a separate count of mods in the stash similar to the separate inventory count for mods)

I would like to see a few changes introduced over the coming months to augment the grind to finalise my builds.

    - the Classified assignments could be opened to all players and modified to allow for different difficulty levels up to and including Legendary,
    - the Side missions we all played through to progress could be unlocked to allow for replay,
    - resource drops and gear/gun crates could be "relocated" throughout all activities and missions to change it up a bit,
    - if possible spawn locations and wave dynamics could be altered,
    - random "blitz" spawn waves could be introduced (eg. all rushers, all snipers, all heavy elites),
    - introduce defensive emplacements on all control points (similar to the emplacements you could upgrade on TD1 Resistance levels or the automated turrets currently in the Summit). Place an automated sniper/ flame/artillery turret in the defensive zone of the CP. This would force you to modify the way you assault that particular CP (as we all have our preferred avenues of attack by now). Have 2 or 3 "control units" for the turret. Destroy the first one to reduce the accuracy of the turret, destroy the second and it's range is reduced, destroying the third powers down the turret. Once captured you would then need to "repair" all the controll units while under fire from the attackers to gain the advantage of the turret in defending the CP.

It also seems that for the almost the entire game we (the SHD Agents) have been playing in an offensive capacity.
I would like to see the player put on the defensive for a change.
The White House has almost never been actively attacked even though it is the main Base of Operations for Division activity. I recall shooting a few enemies on my way there in the first 2 minutes after arriving in DC but that's about it.
Surely the Black Tusk would have at least tried to assault it directly at some point.
The "active" settlements have never been attacked either.
A mission/activity requiring an active defence of the settlements would be welcome.

It was stated a while back that the Castle Settlement would be involved in gameplay at some point.
When is this going to happen?

We have obtained a Profusion Bioreactor and a scientist to run it.
We have obtained an antiviral sample.
When are we actually going to use these things to do some good? (aside from giving one sample to the Nun of course....Hooray, we saved one person so far!).

Though it is not required immmediately (as I'll be optimising for a while) the main item I see needing attention in the near future is gameplay in the Dark Zones.
Once we got to this stage of the game (optimisation) in TD1 myself and my friends began to engage in the TD1 DarkZone far more than we had previously as it was the most dynamic area of gameplay.
The TD2 DZs will need some attention before we will be willing to do the same in this game.
The primary negative aspect of the TD2 DarkZones that I have is that it is quite difficult (close to impossible at times) to extract quality loot from the DZ if there is a group of dedicated PvP players in the DZ that are going to come and steal your loot EVERY time you try to extract. As it stands currently ANY team in the DZ can engage your extraction without fail due to the long extraction timers. I would be far more likely to play the DZ if I was able to extract items.
Reducing the extraction timer to 15 seconds in and 15 seconds out would most likely lead to me spending a lot more time in the DZ. So would a lot of other players if there was a greater chance of being able to hang on to the quality loot they have picked up.
It is at this stage of the game (and the months to come) that a lot of PvE players may want to engage more in the DarkZones. If gameplay in the DZs stays the way it currently is then they'll just avoid it like most are currently doing and move on to other games instead. Could be the last chance to make the DZs more friendly to solo and non-PvP focused players (the main playerbase of the game) before they decide to move on to another title.

That's my two cents for now.
What would you like to see changed/introduced in the weeks/months to come that might motivate you to keep playing TD2 into the future?

Your "random blitz waves" has been tried by Massive before. You don't want this. Trust me. lol

The profusion bioreactor feels like a TD 3 thing, honestly. The game has enough loose ends that there's easily room for a sequel, unless they tie off the threads with the coming Faye Lau manhunt.

I would love a remaster of the Underground, in a "greater rift" sense as seen in Diablo 3. The slow incremental increase in difficulty would keep me playing this game for quite some time, min maxing my builds.

what about an open source map, mission editor so the community can make missions

if you look at the summit and how lackluster that was, why not open it up an let other amateurs make content?

There is a lot of potential... but not much of it is completed. The whole game (weapons, gear, missions and activities, for example) should be streamlined, and locations like The Summit should be relaunched.

It is as if The Division 2 is running at 50 - 75% even if it could make the whole 100. Fine tuning presupposed. But of course nothing of that will happen because Massive - in his well known "tradition" - is working on his next betas.

It depends ... if The Division 3 arrives in less than a year, I would like something simpler like a new mode for the raids that has the discovery ("team" of 8 solo players), normal (team of 8 players) and invasion, which would be other factions invading the raid, now if The Division 3 comes out only after 2022, then you can do a lot, including fixing what players are asking for and creating new things, like DLCs and raids.

What would I like to see in TD2....

    1) Classified missions getting selectable difficulty.
    2) Specializations and outfits being saved with loadouts. I have 2 loadouts, a skill damage build and a medic build, that both use the Technician specialization. In that specialization there is a choice of doing more healing or more damage and the only way to change it is go back to the White House and respec it. It would be nice if we could save it to the build.
    3) A Skill Build centric gear set for either healing or DPS and revamping the Hard Wired set to the aspect not covered by the new set.
