RU Long Range Scope (how to use funny and accurate)
I'm sure some of you or if not all of you, know how to use the range finder in the RU Long Range Scope. But I realized something odd about this.
First of all, it's the pks-07 and not the pcs-01. However in other games the ranger finder in almost every RU scope has this feature and this feature is very accurate.
So y'all wanna know how to understand it, that's if you don't know by know. Don't worry took me long time too.
So let's say your playing in any other game beside breakpoint. You will see the numbers 2 through 10 with a curved dashed line and on the bottom of the range finder is a smooth line with the number 1,7.
The 1,7 is a estimated guess used by the Russians stating that the average male is 1.7 meters tall or 5' 7" tall in the USA.
Each chevron after the first one has numbers on the side of them. (The numbers on top of the vertical lines or in some case smaller chevrons that are next to the 100m chevron don't mean a thing unless your playing a game with windage)
These numbers will be the same numbers you will see on the range finder 2-10.
To use put the target in between the dotted an smooth line. When head and feat are touching look at the number and you have your range. "But what if it's a dash in the middle or right before the 4?" Great question bud. Each dot or dash is 50 meters added. So head of target is right before the 4. That means the target is 350 meters away from you.
This is how you would use it in game or real life.
However! Our beloved orphan designed this range finder to be use on landscape. That is correct my friends who are asking yourselves. "Is he screwing with us?"
No and I'm sure you would run the opposite way. But just a short time ago after debating on using the oversized chevron reticle that is almost the size of my McDonald's straw.
I decided to see how messed up the range finder in this game truly is. So strap it on my paladin 9 then started cruising down the armored 4 door. Looking for snitches and mercking the wolves. I spotted a lone wolf. Standing there repeating him self begging to be shot. Range said two but it over shot and blew my cover. Well glitch my itch i know i turned off the ballistics perk. So got it all set again and aimed. Ok 250. .WTF! After calming down i decided to investigate this lying sac of chips and came across a boulder. Marked it so I knew how far to walk until 200 and 250 were.
Well don't you know i figured it out. So my hypotenuse to this science of a scope.
THE RANGE FINDER ONLY WORKS ON LANDSCAPES!!! You know i love to look pretty before I snipe someone and miss then get rammed! Explain this to me Ubisoft. Better yet WHY WOULD I WANT TO LOOK FOR A BOULDER OR SOMETHING IN HIS SAME DISTANCE TO RANGE FIND!?
That's like Steve wonder working as an eye doctor. Plus I'm not shooting a rock. Im trying to shot the guy who looks like Darth Vaders unfortunate born kola bear. Just deadly and really fast and don't miss ever.
That's it folk i hope i solved y'all mystery if you had one. And hope you laughed a bit too. But Ubisoft your making improvements and i hope you can fix this issue.
P.S. the dotted curved line need to be more narrow you basically have it set as 1 3 5 7 9. And not 2 4 6 8 10. Hope that helps too until they make sniping more realistic.
And another suggestion. Head pops when snr hit it. Or is that bit to much for tommy who ain't suppose to be playing it at 6 years old but his mom and dad are it's fine. No it's not. This is why we can't have big titty ta ta and big booty fury. Yeah i said it. It's bad enough she wears high socks with shorts. Or a kilt.
