Dear Ubisoft,
Firstly, thank you for the free update and the great work. Like many have expressed, thank you for sticking with the community and listening to their feedback. I am genuinely looking forward to the new updates.
However, I think you've misunderstood one of the feedback.
Why are you nerfing the Enemy AI detection time and range? All of the feedback that we've provided is to increase this because they are currently deaf and dumb. You can stand 50m in front of them and they don't see you.
If anything, you should provide this as a slider/modifier so that we can tailor our ghost experience rather than adding a global nerf.
Many of us are already playing on Extreme Elite and it's so immersive breaking that they can't see us or hear our gunshots.
Watch any video of any UbiStaffer playing Breakpoint... That will answer why they are nerfing the AI.Originally Posted by Capt.Dazzer Go to original post
But I agree fully. As it reads, they went the exact opposite way with this one.
Just had another message back from the guys at Bullet catcher gaming who’ve already had hands on the new update although he’s still cagey on what he can say atm, after I asked him if this was a downgrade or upgrade for the enemy AI, he reckons we should actually see an improvement in them
Although this update doesn’t have everything many on here desire, there are some good improvements.
But the nerf to time and range detection is very odd. Here on the forums and on reddit, I’ve only seen complaints about how AI should have those things increased. Having enemy groups spaced 200m apart, not hearing unsuppressed gunfire is just bad. Walking 100m in front of enemies and them not spotting the player in daylight, is almost comical.
Hopefully, range and time for detection is customizable. However, it didn’t seem it was described to be. If it’s stuck like this, I don’t really see the point in playing. It’ll pretty much be a shooting gallery
I'm not seeing anything in the update about detection range nerfs, where are folks reading that? I wouldn't want range tweaked, I also enjoy the challenge of longer detection distances. But I think the speed of alert propogation makes things a bit more organic rather than suddenly the entire base automatically knowing exactly where you are.
A second or two of hesitation feels more natural.
A good question- as the info provided states:Originally Posted by vahndaar Go to original post

Unfortunately after re-watching the trailer again it does indeed say “+ reduced Range” and “+ Slower spread”. Megladon does make a good point however that this might be more to do with the Darker Night setting which would massively decrease Low light vision down to around 1-2 metres ever worse in bad weather conditionsOriginally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
But on the radio communication it makes it seem more like it will now take longer for enemy soldiers to alert everyone else to your specific location and have the main Radio operator call for backup
