Yes! this is what i really want.
No! It will consume the life of the game, I need really new content.
Officials seem to officially give up the game? Prepare for TD3
I am optimistic about the future of TD2.
Yep u can only progress so much in a game, but no one is gonna keep playing a game that makes progression to hard, so it cannot last forever, however if they put a durability on gear so after so much wear and tear u had to get another piece, players would be saving gear to keep replacing old gear, meaning as long as u play the game u never run out of the need to collecting new gear or gear u will never use.Originally Posted by Riflemania Go to original post
The way recalibration is set up on this game optimization would not help much, as optimization does not change talents, I don't know about u but my library is full of max stats, that I can use on as many pieces of gear I find to improve, gear set only need 1 max stat and then recalibration optimizes it, gear brand only need 2, except backpack and vest which need the talents and optimization does help with that, what would help is recalibration of all stats, the ability to use a stat in the library only 1 time and gear to have durability so it has to be repaired or replaced, it would give players a reason to always keep good loot plus it would make it easy enough to get good gear with in a few hrs.Originally Posted by NLxAROSA Go to original post
Nah we don't need optminization station.
What we needed is better loot quality on heroic and legendary bacause right now is quite mediocre
We still have a lot of rainbow loot drop
We need to be able to change the world targeted loot (mission and CPs) just like The Summit so we can see a bit of the sun and natural light
Add the legendary to the world so we can do mission and CP on legendary
I am definitely happy to have the optimization station and it should have been in on launch. They can always make it super grindy to upgrade things but at least you can feel progress with every game session. IMO should have been in at launch.
This has NOTHING to do with lack of new content, it's a separate issue.
The thing is, Had they added the optimization station 6 months or more ago, How much of that time they spent messing around with loot could they have actually invested into creating more content instead. Like new missions or new off site activiites / strongholds or helll even just adding difficulties / targeted loot to the classified assignments to give them more replay value..Originally Posted by Riflemania Go to original post
The Optimization Station isn't a bad thing. So what if you can actually perfect a build. There an almost infinite number of builds you can work on. as long as they keep putting out fresh content to have fun in.
It should have been added a long time ago.

That's pretty much the main reason I'm playing it right now to try crazy builds out and have fun.
The team that works on loot, is different than the team that works on story, is different than the team that works on level design..
This was not an either or situation. Good level design takes time - they likely started WONY shortly after release, they've either been working on another expansion or TD3 since WONY.
The easiest solution, would likely have been to release the Classified Assignments to everyone as missions, with scalable difficulty and targeted loot.
If I were the Ubisoft Executive in charge of TD2, I would also hire a new team to bring the TD1 DZ to TD2. [We'll, I'd push for the whole TD1 remastered into TD2 as another expansion, but that's a much bigger lift].
