Yes, I've already seen an answer saying that the US PS4 version supports Korean(not audio).
But why am I asking the same question again? Even now, it is stated in the uplay store-us that the watch dogs legion supports Korean language, but it is not supported in the actual game in ps4. I am very worried about whether the Valhalla is the same.
There are probably already several similar questions related to the korean language. WHY?
The Valhalla PS version is based on the 'jp' build in Asia. This was not the case before, but all games released on ps5 were unified as 'jp' builds. So all SIEJA-controlled countries(Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea) were forced to provide the same version as Japan's censored version.
It is natural that there are differences in censorship standards between countries, and we respect them. BUT, it is very unfair to be forced to share censorship.
So, many Korean PS gamers plan to look for other versions (xbox, pc), purchase the US version of Valhalla, or not purchase the Valhalla.
Of course, this is just the beginning. Ubisoft has already set all future PS version games to 'jp' builds in Asia(Immortals: Fenyx Rising, far cry 6).
Korean ps gamers are very concerned about this and are waiting for Ubisoft to comment. Well, as Asia is not a huge market, Ubisoft may not care. Even if sales volume decreases, that's going to hurt Sony more.
If the US version of Valhalla normally supports Korean in PS4(and PS5), that would of course be good news. However, I do not know if I will purchase the upcoming Ubisoft ps version games.
I can absolutely relate to this question, and for me, this will decide "where" to buy the game. On Stadia, we now can play games in whatever language we desire. That is awesome. Playstation though does seem to still lock many game language versions behind some regional locks. So .. if anyone does know anything concerning this, this would be information most welcome.
Because - preordering without this knowledge - just doesn't work for me.
