If it's not coming to steam I am not buying it. I have all my games on steam. Been there for 15 to 16 years. Not gonna change. Do what you will. Say what you want. I ain't changing my mind nor millions of users. You get into this competition against steam, you will lose. EA already saw this happen to them and they ended up moving their games into steam.
With all due respect, you're wrong.Originally Posted by Sr_0v3rkill Go to original post
Epic isn't trying to compete with Steam with user features. They're competitive with the smaller cut they take from developers. Say what you want about Steam, but they're greedy with that 30% cut. And I'm willing to bet that Epic also payed Ubisoft a certain amount of money when the deal was signed.
As a developer, I'll go with Epic in a heart beat, just because I know I can get more money for my work, and I get most of the distribution costs refunded.
And having all the games in one place, isn't really an argument anymore.
There's GOG Galaxy which allows you to connect to all platforms and store fronts (even PSN and Xbox) just so you can have all your libraries compiled into one.
And there's also similar software out there.
Steam has been losing ground in front of Epic lately, just because of this greed.
You'll get more and more 3rd party store exclusives while having to wait until your desired game comes to Steam (if ever).
At this point they're lucky that Cyberpunk is sold on their platform. CDPR would do just as fine if they would sell only through their GOG store or through Epic.
That game looks to good to be a store chooser. But they keep it there to satisfy your whims as a user. They don't do it out of need.
Steam is the only platform that helps linux users. You can use lutris and use proton for non-steam games but at the end of the day having proton support built into a platform is way more user friendly. The only platform I plan to use is the only platform that develops tools to help linux users play games.
I hope this game comes to Steam, otherwise sorry - no buy. I never played WD:Legion because of this. Okay, Steam takes 30% cut or whatever the issue there is, then add it to the price. It's that simple. I would buy it without any problem. That really makes no sense, all Far Cry and Watch Dogs games are there except last ones.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN !
And Ubisoft Made that CRYSTAL CLEAR !!
All new games are only on Ubisoft connect and EPIC !
Yes there will be an uproar. But Ubisoft simply must explain, why that is happening, and everybody will blame Steam. Instead of blaming Ubisoft. It's a win-win situation, no matter how you look at it. Steam users will get their game. Ubisoft will get more buyers and more money. And most importantly, Steam will be blamed for the increased prices, not the devs/publishers.Originally Posted by KmarkoPL Go to original post

They don't like steam policy, so you can cry, vent the rage as much you want, Ubisoft no longer will be releasing any games on Steam.
And that is final.
