Poor matchmaking fatally undermines the game

    To whom it might concern,

Before worrying about additional content or balance changes I implore the team behind the game to give some attention to the game's matchmaking for multiplayer, it is possibly the single worst I have ever encountered in an online game.

The core irony of this is that it is the only issue that I have with the game's state, and I really want to play it! But the quality of the matchmaking just makes this unfeasible, it's so inconsistent that hours can go by without any meaningful opportunity to do so. I simply don't have enough free time to try and find the 1 or 2 good games out of 10 that are genuinely competitive and enjoyable, whilst 80% or more are often total write-offs from the word go. The experience is so unreliable that it's impossible to justify rolling the dice for, and so desperately boring during the hours-long stretches in which contributing absolutely anything in game is utterly impossible.

The issue seems twofold. One: I'm not sure if the game seems to think that I am far, far better than I am or if there are merely no other players poor enough for me to play against, but 80% everyone it matches me against are players I virtually cannot touch. Secondly the teams are atrociously unbalanced in most games I see; before I gave up I saw 7 losses in a row, all of them obviously so within the first 3 minutes or less. The other team will get 30 or more takedowns each, whilst I and my teammates will be lucky to get 5. I don;t know if the stats claim the balance is good on paper, but trading off getting annihilated with very occasionally annihilating another team (the majority of the remaining 20% of games) does not make for a fun experience.

When the game works it's spectacularly good, but it's so often just totally unplayable. In order to retain an audience you must deliver a consistent experience, but the product just can't do that at present due to it's truly appalling matchmaking. If genuinely matched games between similarly skilled teams could be provided consistently I'd play it before any other option, but this is unsustainably rare.

I often got noobs in my team. You have to disconnect and find better players / match. Today I played Dominion where two players from opposite team just rotate on capture point without fight. Than I DC another 3 matches because I got only ganked because teammates can not stand 1v1 fight. I agree - better matchmaking is a must for a quality game. Maybe the Devs do not know how to made this improvement... dunno.

If you DC because your teammates are helping you fight then you are the worst kind of player someone can get queued with. Why play 4v4 if all you are going to do is 1v1, you are pretty much throwing the game while calling other people noobs.

No, I DC because my teammates can not handle even 1v1. So other ones just got ganked. It is different.

    Hi

maybe its better to find a few players that have time to play with you and make team with them
also keep in mind that even if you play for 1 year with 1 hero - if you start a new hero your skill will not be as high as with your main hero - do not expect from players that play just for fun to perform very well in each game
also for matchmaking I noticed that some modes are playable in times when there are more players - for example in the weekends you can find more players
as an example sometimes during the week early in the morning its easier to find 10 standard duel games than 5 ranked duels - it just takes more time and there are fewer players
but later in the evening and in the weekends there are a lot of players for most of the game modes
