Same problem here with 2070 super and AMD 2700x. Heavy stuttering and low fps (40-50 driving) even on the lowest settings possible and 720p. My CPU can't handle this game.

your CPU is the issue. Read the system specs. Your CPU is the bare minium for RTX enabled game play. you need to set RTX medium DLSS quality DX12 at least.

Slapping high end GPU's into systems with low/old CPU's no longer work. Time to upgrade correctly my friend.

I have a 3900x with rtx 3080 and I have the same issue. In my case, that isn't cpu botlenecking because the cpu usage sits in 50% and the gpu at 60%

Absolutely not. The CPU is NOT the problem, especially with 4k resolution. The problem Is that the game is broken and there is no point in trying to justify this issue as a lack of hw. I have tons of games and 0 problems , everything run smoothly except WD legion. This is crystal clear. Moreover, just fyi, there is ppl with the same problem even with 9900k CPUs.

    Core i5 - 8600k
    RTX 3070
    16GB Ram
    Win 10.
    Drivers up to date

How do you guys get 50 fps?
In my case first location in openworld give me from 34 to 45 fps. That might be related to time of a day?

Tried settings on low (44 fps) and very high (34 fps).

Most fun part: i just bought 3070 and was shocked about perfomance. First thing i was thinking about "Those bastards sold me fake 3070!" ha.

This should be Ubisoft's number one priority to fix

you lot do realise that with the new drivers under nvidia control panel you now have to choose the graphics processor to use otherwise windows will choose, under global settings choose the gpu otherwise it might use the integrated , hope that helps. also make sure the games exe is in the list otherwise it wont use the global settings.

That makes no sense. If it is using the CPU's integrated GPU you wouldn't even get any signal, since the integrated GPU uses the HDMI-port of the mobo.

Yup but some games still rely heavily on the cpu, i gather their option they have brought back after a long time of it being taken away is actually to make it rely more heavily on the actual gpu.

Will post this in here as Ubisoft have posted in this thread

Changing various GPU settings alter the stress the GPU is under, but dont change the FPS.

    Look at this GPU usage chart for my 3080 running with 16gb ddr4 3200 RAM and a Ryzen 2 2700 8 core 16 thread @ 4ghz

as you can see with everything maxed apart from RTX, get fairly mediocre 50-60 fps. However GPU is only 70-80% utilized

Turn on RTX, fps stay about the same (drops slightly) , GPU usage rockets

Now turn on DLSS with RTX on and FPS stays the same at 40-60 fps, but GPU usage drops again. Whole point of DLSS is to remove work from the gfx card to allow it to pump out more fps!

So heres the FPS when GPU is maxed with RTX on DLSS off

Now, for giggles, same settings but lets drop the resolution from 1440p to 720p, man, my FPS should skyrocket!!

Wait, what? FPS still hovering around about that 40-60, GPU usage dropped to 60%

That season pass money is fast vanishing from your pockets Ubisoft. Won't be shelling out any money with the game in this poor state
