Okay you absolute dropkick, I have gone through every setting combination over the past few hours.
Literally NOTHING changes my framerate, I sit between 45 and 55 in the open world no matter what settings I turn on and off and I spent all night checking all setting combos. NOTHING. CHANGES.
You are sucking Ubisoft off so hard that you just can't grasp that there are actual issues.
A 3080, 3950x and 32gb of 3200 MHz should not be getting less than 60 fps at 1440p with DLSS on.
You are either a terrible troll or just plain stupid.
FWIW I have 99-100% usage on my 2080Ti
1440p 144hz g-sync
Ultra preset / medium RTX / quality DLSS
FPS capped to 120
Win10 Pro 20H2 (HAGS enabled)
9900ks
32GB 3200
2080Ti (game ready drivers)
I use Windows Defender for AV
The following is running in systray
Steelseries Mouse control panel
Afterburner and RTSS (OVERLAY ON)
iCUE
UB Connect
Chrome etc is closed
I don't recall that my FPS has dropped below 60 with DLSS on. Definitely a weird bug or software conflict affecting you all.
It's clearly optimization issues because I can get 60fps in some areas of the city and suddenly it drops to 45 for a split second then flies back up to 57-61fps and nothing is different. It's just a different area of the map. It would be one thing if the frame rate was constantly not hitting 60fps but it's all over the place when I drive. It's like the game is not optimized well and assets are not streaming into the engine efficiently causing frame spikes when you are traveling at high speeds.
I have the same setup as you except I have the 9900k. Kinda hard to believe you don't get below 60pfs with ultra settings at 1440 resolution WITH RTS on medium and Quality DLSS. Are you talking about benmark or actual gameplay in the city? Benchmarks in the game are not reliable. Not saying i don't believe you, its just not comparable to anything everyone has said. I think I get 40+ with those settings.Originally Posted by Jumpy-BL Go to original post
You have almost every setting in one of your screenshots on ultra so of course you're only going to get 40 fps and maybe even lower. Turning the resolution down while leaving some of the settings on ultra, does nothing.Originally Posted by smeek14 Go to original post
Sure benchmarks aren't accurate but that is besides the point, you can still use the base guideline to see an increase or drop in performance on yourself which can then can be compared with yourself, forget the actual FPS number itself, pay attention to how much your FPS gains or drops. It's the same thing as weighing yourself, you can get 2 different weight using 2 different scales, but the difference amount between the numbers should relatively be the same so one scale could show 25-30 and another scale could show 60-65, my point is the difference is still 5. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
Here are my system Specs:
Operating System Windows 10 1909 18363.1139
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
GPU Driver Version: 457.9
RAM: 15.93
VRAM: 7.84
Here is my result using a 1440 resolution:
Minimum FPS: 27.08
Average FPS: 59.84
Maximum FPS: 76.28
1%% low FPS 53.11
0.1%% low FPS: 35.86
Frames rendered: 5358
Here is my result using a 4k Resolution
Minimum FPS: 23.61
Average FPS: 38.69
Maximum FPS: 57.61
1%% low FPS: 29.39
0.1%% low FPS: 26.36
Frames rendered: 3464
As you can see even though I used the same settings for both resolutions, changing the resolution itself from 1440 to 4k, I take a performance hit which lowers the FPS by 20-25.
MAJOR IMPACT OPTIONS:
Texture Resolution: High
Shadows Medium
Reflections: Medium
Post-Process Anti-Aliasing: Off
Extra Details: 0 %
Ray Traced Reflections: Medium
DLSS: Balanced
Temporal Upscaling: 100 %
Subsurface Scattering: High
MINOR IMPACT OPTIONS:
Ambient Occlusion: Off
Field of View: 75
Geometry: High
Environment: High
Texture Filtering: High
Headlight Shadows: 4 cars
Depth Of Field: Off
Motion Blur: Off
Bloom: Off
V-Sync: Normal
FPS Limit: 65
I never said I had any settings on ultra, I'm not even sure how you arrived at that conclusion or would assume that. What I said is I get a consistent 55-60 FPS with an occasional low dip of 40-43.Originally Posted by chivasc Go to original post
BTW: Having a few options on ultra doesn't make your game in ultra, it only makes those specific attributes on ULTRA. But ultra is a subjective word that doesn't mean anything.

Here's this idiot again. Who even thinks making a setting ultra makes anything other than that specific element ultra? I've seen a few of your posts now and get the feeling you aren't a native English speaker and are misinterpreting what people are saying.Originally Posted by S_Tanner Go to original post
Also, lol @ resolution not effecting performance. That's usually down to poor optimisation, which for some reason you think this game is working perfectly. Some people having good performance and some people having bad, but with varying specs LITERALLY MEANS THE GAME IS POORLY OPTIMISED.
Let me guess the next excuse is the game is just future proofing, trying to be the next "can it run Crysis?" game. HAHAHHAHA
